QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4+ years of Automated Quality Assurance experience
• BS Engineering/Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent experience required
• Willingness and ability to learn quickly and contribute
• Experience in Automated Testing software such as Selenium

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Basic proficiency in a development language and systems including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, Angular, C/C++, HTML, XML, Windows, UNIX, and .Net.
• Familiarity of industry best practices in automated testing. 
• Basic knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). 
• Attention to detail.

• Maintain flexibility to react quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the business.
• Ensure that testing addresses requirements as agreed with other stakeholders.
• Successfully participate in development processes, test case creation best practices and test case reviews.
• Perform automated and manual test case maintenance and fixes for existing web applications.
• Work across teams to enhance quality assurance/testing and help to develop/execute performance and automation testing throughout the business as appropriate.
• Provide guidance to peers.
• Operate in an Agile development environment
• Keep abreast of new technology developments.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Write and review detailed designs for the development of complex system components.
• Work closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.

REQUIRED SKILLS 

• 5 years of Software Engineering experience in Java.
• 3 years of experience showing strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
• 2 years of experience leading and architecting software solutions.
• 2 years of experience designing and building APIs with microservices using REST, Spring boot, Swagger, and/or Micronaut.
• BS Engineering/Computer Science OR equivalent experience.

DESIRED SKILLS

• Experience developing solutions with Elasticsearch, Solr, Lucene, or noSQL databases.
• Production experience with large Elasticsearch or Solr deployments
• Experience building distributed data ingestion pipelines, batch data processing.
• Experience with containerization, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Unit Test, Integration test, and Sonarqube experience, with an understanding of how to make testing part of the development process
• Strong preference for individuals with experience development and deploying applications using AWS and/or Azure cloud.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
• Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.

Purpose of the role:

• Provide training to internal sales teams on systems and products. Work closely with sales, marketing, product owners and operations teams. Create and deliver internal training content. Ensure current training content and ongoing training interventions that helps to maintain and upskill the sales team.
• Develop in-house training material and content on e-learning platforms
• Work with a wide scope of products, publications and solutions and the supporting sales processes
• Deliver training, as well as coach and mentor those in sales, marketing, and sales support roles
• Training via various platforms: Zoom webinars, MS Teams, Classroom, e-learning and Seismic
• Engage in training with a view to onboarding and upskilling internal sales teams so that they are equipped to deliver on overall sales targets
• Ability to identify and assess skills gaps and provide relevant training to reduce discrepancies
• Identify training, mentoring and coaching needs of sales account managers and deliver appropriate training, mentoring and coaching solutions for all products
• Proactive and agile approach in creating and implementing training interventions
• Map out training plans per market segment and assign to individual members
• Maintain training administration database
• Maintain records of training and progress tracking all training
• Extract and compile reports on training activities and individual achievements and remedial actions
• Liaise with product managers, sales managers, and marketing to identify training opportunities
