Key Performance Area
Data Centre Project Cost Management
- Support the Senior Commercial Manager with thepreparation of ADC cost reports and tracking of actual spend vs approved cost plan
- Support the Senior Commercial Manager with cash flow planning, approval and management
- Responsible for reporting on data centre project cost management during all project stages; from inception to completion across various facilities and regions.
- Participates in the management and oversight of value engineering and cost/risk optimisation exercises
Project Invoices Management
- Responsible to recordall invoices received in a project payment summary
- Ensure that Finance team is reporting the same invoices as Project team.
- Responsible to track invoices against each purchase orders and ensure that invoices value never exceed PO value.
Commercial Management
- Provide input to the Senior Commercial Manager and Senior Project Manager(s) with the development of a suitable procurement and commercial strategies
- Responsiblefor reviewing the cost and commercial tender adjudications prepared by the professional services teams and preparing commercial reports for review by the Senior Commercial Manager.
- Establish and maintain effective communications internally with the business managers, financial-, legal- and procurement departments

Role Description
- Manage the assurance of Cloud project delivery through / by: - Ensuring effective communication at all stages of a project Maintaining a well document project delivery process with clear reporting requirements Complying with all additional delivery process and change management requirements for successful project delivery Provide yearly inputs for process reviews Produce reports to measure project delivery performance during and after completion of all projects Evaluating our delivery methods and implementing industry best practices adopted to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction Oversee the deployment customer solutions based on best practices including migrations, cloud networking and new set-ups.
- Maintain accurate customer records, project documentation and technical documentation for each project. Conduct regular customer feedback surveys and report on improvements required for all Cloud services. Maintain a clear overview of all projects, their revenue and cost and performance to milestones, along with resource consumption. Maintain accurate third-party vendor documentation, including quotations, proposals, diagrams, certifications, and proof of execution. Monitor all vendor service delivery and define reporting, escalation and remediation processes. Maintain records for internal and external resources available for Cloud Project Delivery including internal staff, and external service providers.
- Cross functional engagements, Sales support, Service Desk, Products, Bid Office & engagement with Engineering. Training for sales, architects, customer employees and product teams. Assist with technology selection and vendor selection for product management. Leading the solutions architects and Cloud engineering teams to iterate through design and deployment tasks to identify dependencies and resolving design conflicts to ensure project success. Maintaining an up-to-date skillset that translates into secure, cost-effective project delivery aligned to industry best practices.
Requirements
- Degree in IT, Project Management or Business-related field and Post-Graduate: Essential
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 Project Management: Essential
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals: Essential
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals: Preferred
- Additional Microsoft or AWS Cloud-related certifications: Preferred
- Industry certification e.g. ITIL, Cisco (CCNP, CCDP, and above), CECP(MEF) or similar: Preferred
- 4 years demonstrable experience in delivering complex projects, ideally in an IT or managed service provider setting Experience in business processes and outsourced services. Demonstrate the ability to lead complex teams, managing internal and external resources.

Occupational Health, Safety, And Environmental Planning
- Research and analyses the resources and requirements for the HSE function in relation to Operations, Infrastructure, Construction, and Projects activities
- Provides a healthy, safe, and environmentally conducive working environment at Africa Data Centres using pragmatic and cost-effective initiatives.

- Manages the HSE incidents/risks faced by the company effectively to minimise the number (and cost) of incidents/risks reported.

Key Performance Area
Physical Security Governance and Compliance
- Continuously developing and updating of physical security industry standard policies and procedures within South Africa and providing an advisory role to the rest of Africa. These policies and procedures are required to ensure compliance with security standards and practices within ADC. Critical to protection of assets and staff and plays a key role in terms of customer satisfaction and retention of services
- Continuously developing and updating of all security processes to ensure proper functionality and efficiency by means of implementing of security improvements and assessing current environments in all facilities. Evaluating trends and anticipating requirements to meet necessary security standards and maximize proficiency in conjunction with other departments.
- Ensure participation and provide leadership on various committee meetings and process improvement teams, acting in an advisory capacity
Physical Security Operations Management
- Management of and ensuring appropriate access control measures are created and implemented across all ADC facilities within South Africa 24/7/365. This includes the enforcement and continuous monitoring of such controls for all personnel, customers, contractors, visitors, deliveries, etc., and includes the perimeter and all areas within the Data Centre. Also, exercise access control by means of available access control systems. This entails the recording of all information, conducting identity verification, the issuing of access cards, escorting and access management.
- Monitoring of close circuit television video and surveillance cameras within all ADC facilities within South Africa on a 24/7/365 basis. This includes the monitoring and tracking of all movements in and around facilities where appropriate.
- Enforce and ensure compliance with prescribed physical security policies within all ADC facilities in South Africa. These policies require continuous updating and aligned to the evolving physical security posture within the facilities. The physical security policy governs, monitors, controls, defines and restricts physical threats to ADC facilities.
Physical Security Risk Management
- Accountable for conducting annual and periodic physical security risk assessments and threat analysis which takes an in-depth look at the potential vulnerabilities to identify and reduce any risks to ADC facilities. This is a comprehensive assessment to support the company’s goals.
- Accountable for conducting SWOT (strengths, weakness, opportunities, threats) analysis to effectively test the physical security controls within all ADC facilities. This consists of the identification of strengths and weakness which is internal factors that can be controlled, and opportunities and threats are external factors which provides a platform for continuous improvement.
Physical Security Quality Assurance
- To conduct monthly security quality audits and ensure that scores achieve a minimum of 95%. This entails the physical examination and assessment of security SLA deliverables as ensures a high level of proficiency. Performance management and provision of support and guidance in areas which requires improvement.
- To ensure that monthly inspections are conducted onsite and in person as the Security Manager. Findings are to be listed, recorded, forward onto the relevant teams and managed.
