    Senior Consultant, Property Risk

    • We are seeking a talented individual to join the Advisory – Property Risk Consulting division at Marsh. This role will be based in Sandton, Johannesburg, hybrid and has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

    We will count on you to:

    Insurance surveyor and Portfolio management:

    • Primarily insurance fire assets surveying and report compilation with loss calculations and risk recommendation’s
    • Oversee – peer review of technical and insurance consulting activities for group programs
    • Grow programs and identify consulting opportunities
    • Set up, agree, maintain and manage an annual work plan with each lead insurer in respect of slip fees, including monthly meetings to report progress, maintaining a quarterly billing schedule with each lead insurer as agreed
    • Ensure activities are scheduled and completed by competent resources

    Quality review outputs

    • Prepare summaries for group feedback
    • Present findings and reports for client / divisional / corporate office meetings
    • Provide consulting inputs at specific times (politically sensitive / special need sites)

    Define and structure programs

    • Align programs to client’s key objectives (group strategy / insurance / legislation)
    • Work closely with other stakeholders (brokers / external consultants / insurers / regulatory bodies)
    • Conduct a SWOT analysis on each client and build a PRC risk mitigation program
    • Identify key role players and build a relationship matrix on each account
    • Introduce other MRC and or Marsh services into the client as and when appropriate
    • Develop an opportunity matrix per account and build an implementation plan with revenue targets and milestones
    • Prepare client budgets and proposals
    • Prepare and deliver client presentations

    What you need to have:

    • A thorough knowledge of Insurance Underwriting and surveying, including but not limited to Construction, Occupancy, Property and exposure analysis, with ability to describe and quantify loss calculations comprising Business Interruption and Property Damage loss estimate’s
    • A good knowledge of Fire, Security, Occupational Health and Safety, is equally vital.
    • The incumbent will be a self-starter, motivated and driven by results and fair remuneration and rewards. They will have excellent inter personal skills, and MUST have strong verbal and written communications skills.
    • Must have good computer literacy *advanced excel skills advantageous.

    • We are seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate division at Marsh. This role will be based in Stellenbosch, hybrid and has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

    Oliver Wyman - South Africa Marketing Lead - Johannesburg

    Job Overview:
     

    To support our exciting growth trajectory, we are seeking an experienced, creative, and results-driven Marketing Manager to join our team as our local marketing lead for South Africa. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving our marketing efforts, establishing our brand presence, and supporting our expanding ambitions in the South African market and wider IMEA region. Candidates with professional services expertise is essential, ideally in management consulting, who can leverage their industry knowledge to effectively enhance our positioning our organization in the South African market.

    Approximately 70% of this role will focus on South Africa and Africa, positioning you as the ‘first advisor’ on locally relevant activations, and our ‘home’ point of contact for Marketing in our Johannesburg office.     • 8+ years of proven track record and experience in a B2B marketing/communication function in professional services or agency.
    • Expertise in crafting and editing engaging content across multiple formats (media, social media, web, reports, etc.), and familiarity in using keyword research and SEO.
    • Client-centric/Account Based Marketing experience with a strategic eye on linking Marketing impact with Commercial Objectives.
    • Existing media relationships in South Africa an advantage, or experience in managing a PR agency.
    • Team management and experience working in an international/regional peer group, contributing to multi-country campaigns.
    • Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com or Asana.

    Senior Client Executive in Power & Renewable Energy - Construction - Cape Town

    • We are seeking a talented individual to join our Energy & Power Practice at Marsh. This role will be based in Cape Town hybrid and has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

    What you need to have:

    • Ability and preference to work collaboratively within a team
    • Solid and proven experience of managing large clients throughout each stage of the project lifecycle
    • Professional affiliation/accreditations desirable
    • Significant experience working within the construction sector.  Experience in the Renewable Energy Insurance sector would be of benefit but not essential.
    • Strong communication and influencing skills are essential
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are ‎essential
    • Ability to identify when to escalate an issue or not where it is beneficial to the delivery of client service
    • Strong computer skills including demonstrable proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint essential
