    Fitter

    Job Purpose:

    • Reporting to the Mechanical Foreman, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the PM31 Mechanical Department in their maintenance strategy.  The incumbent will assist in reducing downtime thereby increasing machine and time efficiency.

    Education: 
       Essential      N3

    •  Fitter Trade test
    •  Grade 12 
    •    Desirable      N6

    Job Experience:

    •    2-3 years post trade test experience as a fitter 
    •    Pulp and paper experience advantageous

    Key Performance Areas:   

    •    The incumbent in this position will provide a mechanical maintenance and repair service to ensure plant availability
    •    Obtain and analyze handover reports containing equipment status 
    •    Perform scheduled routine inspections and identify possible / potential problem areas
    •    Liaise with plant personnel to gather machine condition and product related information to determine course and corrective action and prioritize required solutions
    •    Requisition available spares from stores
    •    Test and monitor equipment for functionality and adjust as required
    •    Complete all relevant documentation, reports and handover to production
    •    Ensures that SHE legislation is adhered to in work area
    •    Ensure housekeeping in work area
    •    Identify and take corrective action in terms of unsafe conditions and acts
    •    Carry out standby duties

    Reward Manager

    Job Purpose:

    • Reporting to the Head of HR, the Reward Manager is responsible for providing end-to-end analytical, researched, and administrative support on all key touch points within the reward, remuneration and benefits portfolio.

    Qualifications & Expertise:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/BCOM Finance, Industrial/Organisation Psychology/Financial Management, or other related field (NQF Level 7)
    • Finance related field of study will be advantageous
    • Valid drivers license (Code EB)
    • SARA Registration will be advantageous
    • GRP advantageous

    Job Experience:

    • 5 - 8 years related remuneration experience
    • Proficient in HR technologies including experience in HRIS and payroll system
    • HR Analyst and data mining experience will be advantageous
    • SAP Experience will be advantageous
       

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Oversight and management of the MSA reward strategy. This includes being responsible for planning, implementing, and reviewing the reward package (healthcare or childcare schemes, pensions, stock, company cars and more) that a company offers its employees to position Mondi as competitive employer of choice.
    • Maintains the highest standards of data management and integrity on all reward information.
    • Processing of the Bonus Share Incentive Scheme and liaising with the Trust to ensure alignment on governance principles.
    • Management of all HR polices to ensure good governance is maintained across Mondi South Africa.
    • Adept with research on best practice and provision of data to continuously critique and update the reward strategy.
    • Supports on the management of Mondi’s pensions and post-retirement medical aid (model updates).
    • Communication and management of internal and external stakeholder with regards to benefits and payments.
    • Performs annual market survey submissions and external benchmarks.
    • Accurate processing of all reward calendar items on an annual basis.
    • Ensure all reward tools are current (updating estimate calculators in line with the tax year update, creating purchase requisitions).
    • Accurate and timely preparation of reports.
    • Annual Statutory Submission: EEA2&EEA4 and COIDA.
    • Timeous month-end payroll processing and the drafting of needed reward reports.
    • Benchmarking of roles to market and drafting/updating of employment contracts.
    • Keeping abreast with research and market trends.
    • Ensuring all reward processes comply with company policies and/or related business rules.
