    Maintenance Executive- Johannesburg, Gauteng.

    The Opportunity

    We are looking for a Maintenance Executive who will manage all projects, tasks, and deliverables within our Fleet Operations team and also be a representative and ambassador for the team across the company as well as to external stakeholders. The ideal candidate for the role will be someone who is customer-oriented, and who also has good communication and interpersonal skills.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Coordinate, schedule, and audit vehicle maintenance repairs, including preventative, mechanical, and electrical repairs to the fleet.
    • Take calls from suppliers seeking authorization to conduct maintenance and repairs.
    • Scrutinise supplier quotes to ensure optimal pricing in each market and ensure that maintenance done is valid and appropriate
    • Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of the company’s assets
    • Control and monitor repair costs (parts and labour) in line with the maintenance fund
    • Negotiate goodwill claims from OEM for repairs that are just outside of the warranty parameters
    • Process the Insurance claims in line with Policy requirements and report on them effectively as and when required
    • Ensure that all Insurance claims are completed expediently and vehicles brought back to operation in the minimum timeframe
    • Build, Manage, Measure, and Maintain relationships with Suppliers and Repair outlets to ensure that uptime of Fleet is maximised
    • Continuous Improvement mindset with respect to processes and systems to create efficiencies and synergies
    • Ad Hoc investigations and solutions as required from time to time

    What You Will Need For This Position

    • Candidate must possess a High School Certificate
    • Competent in Motor Mechanics
    • 4-5 years of fleet maintenance experience preferred.
    • Associates or Technical degree in Motor Mechanics would be advantageous
    • Hands-On Fleet Industry Experience is a must
    • Strong customer service and organizational skills required
    • Attention to detail is compulsory
    • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office; Google Office Suite and web-based applications preferred

    General Manager, South Africa

    The Opportunity

    We are looking for a fast-thinking, people-building, mobility operations expert to lead our team to democratise vehicle ownership across South Africa (SA). The General Manager, South Africa will report to the Regional General Manager, SSA, and will lead the Operations team (spread across multiple cities in SA) to onboard, manage and support Moove Drivers. Our ideal candidate must have considerable experience building, leading, and managing teams at a mid to large scale.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    The General Manager will be responsible for the success of our Operations in South Africa by:

    • Setting up, leading, and scaling Moove's business operations in the country
    • Acting as our Country POC and working closely with the Regional General Manager, SSA, & HQ teams to anticipate, manage and resolve operational or product issues in record time
    • Devising pricing and product strategies in collaboration with the Strategy & Planning team
    • Planning, processing, and executing approved vehicle purchases through our partner OEMs
    • Hiring, managing, and coaching first-class Operations Managers to ensure Moove's operations in the country are a success
    • Crafting & achieving business goals regarding operational excellence, profitability, and a great Driver experience
    • Driving Operations Managers to attain high performance in Driver Verification & Onboarding, Driver Monitoring, Driver Relations, and Fleet Operations
    • Analysing business metrics and implementing projects & initiatives to improve Country operations and revenues
    • Maintaining high performance within the team by leading daily Stand-ups to review Country Ops Metrics data, distil insights and plan the next course of action
    • Facilitating timely on-boarding of vehicles
    • Ensuring fleet operations are in compliance with local and state rules and regulations
    • Finding ways to cut costs and maximise profits
    • Contributing to the budgeting process from a Fleet Operations perspective
    • Leading deployment and quality of supply chain (i.e. Moove Driver-partners)

    What You Will Need For This Position

    • Degree in Logistics or Mechanical Engineering or Management. An MBA is a plus.
    • Ideally 10+ years of similar experience in logistics or supply functions in startups
    • Candidates must have excellent communication skills
    • Candidates must have strong negotiation skills
    • Outstanding organisational skills
    • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills

    Maintenance Manager, Johannesburg

    The Opportunity

    We are looking for a Maintenance Manager who will manage all maintenance projects and tasks within our fleet operations team, and also be a representative and ambassador for the team across the company as well as to external stakeholders.     What You’ll Be Doing

    Fleet Management:

    • Planning, processing, and executing approved vehicle purchases through our partner OEMs
    • Facilitating vehicle replacements.
    • Ensuring fleet operations are in compliance with local and state rules and regulations.
    • Ensuring vehicles are maintained properly
    • Registering and licensing all vehicles under their management.
    • Finding ways to cut costs and maximize profits.
    • Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.
    • Managing the safety and compliance functions
    • Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance
    • Contributing to the budgeting process from a Fleet Operations perspective.

    Fleet Maintenance

    • Control, manage and repair (parts and labour) in line with the maintenance fund.
    • Manage the Insurance process in line with Policy requirements.
    • Ensure that all Insurance claims are completed expediently and vehicles brought back to operation in the minimum timeframe.
    • Build, Manage, Measure, and Maintain relationships with Suppliers and Repair outlets to ensure that uptime of Fleet is maximised.
    • Reporting of Actual Maintenance; repair and Service costs in relation to the Maintenance Fund.
    • Manage the Authorisations of maintenance to ensure that appropriate work is being done on the fleet at the optimised costs.
    • Continuous Improvement mindset with respect to processes and systems to create efficiencies and synergies.
    • Ad Hoc investigations and solutions as required from time to time.
    • Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
    • Plan and manage all repair and installation activities.
    • Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.
    • Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary.
    • Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.

    What You Will Need For This Position

    • Minimum 10 years of fleet maintenance management experience preferred.
    • An Associates or Technical degree in Motor Mechanics is a must.
    • Hands-On Fleet Industry Experience is a must
    • Strong customer service and organisational skills required
    • Valid driver’s licence preferred.
    • Candidates will be subject to analytical test prior to interviews
