    Medical Specialist Grade 1 - 3 : Anesthesiology

    Requirements

    • Appropriate qualifications that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Anesthesiology (2026). A valid work permit will be required from non-South Africans. Sound knowledge of medical ethics.  Multidisciplinary management and teamwork and experience in the respective medical discipline.  Knowledge of current Health and Public Service regulations and policies. Skills in terms of consultations, history taking, examination, clinical assessment and clinical management.
    • Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist (Independent Practice).  Minimum of one 1-year relevant experience after registration with a recognized Foreign Professions and / or the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist (Anesthesiology) for foreign qualified employees.
    • Grade: 2: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience after registration with the HPCSA as Medical Specialist (Independent Practice).     Radiographer Grade 1

    Requirements

    • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus an appropriate qualification that allows for the required registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in the relevant profession (where applicable) (2026).
    • Grade 1: SA Qualified employees: None after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession (where applicable) in respect of employees who performed Community Service, as required in SA.
    • Foreign Qualified employees: One (1) year relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession (where applicable) in respect of employees of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in SA. Hospital experience and extensive knowledge in Occupational Health and Safety will be an added advantage. Good interpersonal Skills, written, verbal and presentation Skills.     Duties

    • Ensure patient care during imaging for optimal diagnostic purpose: Explain procedures to patients, prepare patient for imaging, Assist and position patient for imaging, perform imaging. Practice radiation protection to minimize radiation dose to staff, patients and general public: Establish LMC status of female patients, adhere to radiation safety standards (secure area, lead aprons etc), Apply correct radiation/exposure factors (correct dosages),
    • Exercise clinical responsibility to ensure optimal diagnostic imaging: Interpret clinical history of patients to determine the correct procedure, ensure correct positioning of patient to minimize radiation exposure to the patient, ensure correct identification of patient image (name, lead markers etc.). Participate in Education and training programs for continuous professional development and quality service delivery: Practical training and evaluation of students Implement quality assurance programs for quality service delivery, Check/test radiation equipment and report faults, apply reject analysis, Adhere to policies and protocols.

    Environmental Health Practitioner Grade 1

    Requirements

    • An appropriate National Diploma in Environmental Health Public Health or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa HPCSA as an Independent Environmental Health Practitioner 2026. Current registration with the HPCSA as an Independent Environmental Health Practitioner. A valid drivers licence.
    • Computer literacy. Good verbal and written communication skills. Sound knowledge of communicable disease control environmental health legislation and public health programmes. Plan implement monitor and evaluate malaria elimination interventions in accordance with National and Provincial policies guidelines and operational plans. Coordinate and supervise Indoor Residual Spraying IRS operations including planning implementation and quality assurance and reporting. Coordinate malaria disease surveillance activities including case notification case investigation case classification reactive case detection foci investigation and outbreak response. Participate in community-based malaria screening testing and treatment activities in accordance with approved malaria case management guidelines and standing operating procedures. Support active case detection household screening and follow-up of malaria cases to interrupt local transmission.
    • Coordinate entomological surveillance activities including vector monitoring mosquito collections insecticide resistance surveillance and environmental assessments. Coordinate and implement malaria health promotion community mobilisation and behaviour change communication activities. Supervise malaria programme personnel monitor performance and provide technical guidance and mentorship. Coordinate procurement planning stock management and distribution of malaria programme commodities. Ensure proper asset management inventory control and maintenance of programme equipment. Monitor programme performance through routine data collection data quality assurance analysis and reporting using approved malaria information systems. Participate in operational planning micro-planning monitoring and evaluation operational research and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Perform any other duties delegated by the supervisor.

    Ultrasound Radiographer (Sonographer) Grade 1

    Requirements

    • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus an appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in either Radiography, Radiation Oncology Radiography, Ultrasound Radiography or Mammography Radiography (2026). Current registration with the HPCSA in either Radiation Oncology Radiography, Ultrasound Radiography or Mammography Radiography (2026). Good communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of relevant public service regulations, Acts and policies. 

    Duties

    • Perform diagnostic ultrasound images examinations. Write reports in accordance with prescribe protocols. Must be able to work independently without supervision. Adhere and ensure compliance with Radiation Control Board and HPCSA, Legislation Equipment Maintenance and do monthly stats in ultrasound department. Partake and facilitate staff and student development.
    • Participate in CPD as required by HPCSA. High level of responsibility. Complete appropriate documentation. Follow infection control and safety guidelines. Ensure proper care in the use of x-ray equipment and supplies. Perform general radiographic examinations, CT scan examinations, Fluoroscopy examinations, and Theatre and ward radiographic examinations. Render after-hour radiology services.

    Principal Personnel Officer

    Requirements

    • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent plus three (3) years’ experience in Human Resource unit or Diploma / Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Human Resource Management, Public Administration / Public Management as recognized by SAQA. At least a minimum of three (3) Persal courses is an inherent requirement. Extensive knowledge of PERSAL includes interpreting PERSAL reports.

    Senior State Accountant: Budget & Expenditure

    Requirements

    • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus six (6) years relevant experience in Finance / Salary Administration or Diploma / Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Finance / Public Administration / Public Management as recognized by SAQA plus three (3) years relevant experience in Human Resource Management / Salary Administration.  At least three (3) years’ experience in the post of Chief Administration Clerk / Administrative Officer (Level 7).

    Duties

    • To manage and facilitate budgeting processes. Facilitate and manage financial planning and budgeting processes. Compile budget estimates. Align budgets with strategic and annual performance plans. Provide advice on budget-related matters. Monitor expenditure against allocated budget. Confirm availability of funds before goods and services are procured.
    • Ensure correct SCOA allocations are used on payment packs. Checking monthly document control reports. Ensure all processed documents are audit compliant. Costing operational budget requirements needs of Districts within actual expenditure trend. Balancing of final budget allocation on BAS. Request budget / expenditure input to quarterly erroneous allocations and authorize journal entries

    • Appropriate qualifications that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Officer (2026).
