    Maintenance Manager 1 - Khoroni

    Job Purpose

    Lead the Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Responsible for planned scheduling creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.

    Qualifications

    • Matric
    • Technical qualifications/Apprenticeship
    • Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred.

    Minimum Requirements

    • 5 years artisan experience
    • 5 years Management/Supervisory experience
    • Previous technical and maintenance experience in a Casino/Hotel environment will be an advantage
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills
    • Good financial acumen
    • Good Interpersonal Skills
    • Preference will be given to affirmative action candidates

    Main Resposibilites

    • Maintenance of the reticulation services, water drainage, electricity, gas and air conditioning
    • General maintenance throughout the complex
    • Planned preventative maintenance
    • Maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration
    • Monitor and co-ordinate all services performed by contractors on site
    • Conduct inspections of building and grounds to ensure complex complies with building regulations and in line with occupational, Health and Safety Act
    • Attend to breakdowns
    • Staff supervision, direction and development
    • Submit energy saving initiatives
    • Budgeting, analyzing monthly financial statement for the department and cost saving
    •  Ensure FMS is controlled and regular reports are completed
    • Participate in operations development meetings
    • Ensure guest satisfaction by dealing with queries and complaints efficiently

    Asst Manager - Emperors Palace

    Job Purpose

    To Assist the Complex Food and Beverage Manager with running of all  Restaurants, Bars, Room service and the Salon Prive.

    Qualifications

    • Matric
    • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related to F&B will be an added advantage

    • 2- 4 years' experience in the F&B division

    Main Resposibilites

    Sales Executive - Umfolozi

    Job Purpose

    To achieve Peermont’s objectives and Revenue Targets within the hotel market segment commitments and conferencing/events business for all Peermont Hotels and conference centres in the designated portfolio through sourcing, securing and servicing business, new business prospects, as well as from past and current clients.

    Qualifications

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Relevant Sales Qualification required

    Minimum Requirements

    • 3 Years related Sales experience required, preferably in the Hospitality, travel, airline or car rental sector;
    • Existing strong database and relationships with decision makers in the relevant market;
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Computer literacy essential;
    • Own transport and a valid driver’s licence required.

    Main Resposibilites

    • Source Transient business commitments and conferencing/events business for all Peermont Hotels and conference centres in the designated portfolio
    • Responsible for managing specific Key Accounts
    • Source new business through Telesales / Cold Calling within the allocated market segments
    • Negotiate rates and availability in conjunction with the Group Sales Manager where necessary
    • Achieve monthly and combined quarterly targets for the designated portfolio
    • Attend to, follow up on and reply to all enquiries, offers, quotes and confirmations timeously
    • Process Vendor Registration forms, Credit Applications, Negotiated Rate Agreements
    • Conduct regular and updated product knowledge presentations to all stake holders for the Peermont properties to Clients
    • Record and update all contact details, appointments and calls on Sales Database (Salesforce.com) and submit weekly and monthly Sales Reports accordingly

    Banqueting Supervisor

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

    • To supervise all aspects of the Food and Beverage Outlet to the required standards within the agreed budgetary limits and parameters and ensuring guest satisfaction and profit maximization.
    • To adhere to, maintain and monitor Food & Beverage policies and procedures.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:   

    • Supervise the daily operations of the Food and Beverage Outlet, by adhering to Food & Beverage policies and procedures.
    • Supervise Food and Beverage Staff, i.e., Waitrons, Barmen, Chefs and Stewards.
    • Conduct daily hygiene walkabouts, complete the required checklists, enforce the correct cleaning standards, Health & Safety standards, and operating equipment.
    • Assist Management in dealing with Customer Complaints and resolving them.
    • Perform the daily stock counts required as well as the 10-day, 20 day and monthly stock takes with Barmen and Stock Controllers.
    • Monitor and adhere to the “Signing In and Out Control” Procedures for all contract services staff i.e. Time Sheets.
    • Submit timesheets to the labour service provider’s office on a daily basis and monitor clock in and clock out transactions on system report.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Matric/Grade 12.
    • 2 Years related experience in a similar position in the Food & Beverage Service environment required;
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required with a strong focus on Guest Service;
    • Knowledge and experience in cost controls is required.
    • Computer literacy: MS Office, Micros and Materials Control required.
    • Shift work is an operational requirement.
