    Planner: Production

    Purpose

    To schedule required production planning according to a pre-determined delivery schedule for all aspects of the production process in order to ensure on-time and in-full delivery to customers.

     Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

    • Plan and monitor the production process which is informed by customer needs, in order to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
    • Assist with the identification of resources, shifts and equipment needed to meet the SABN Business Plan objectives.
    • Schedule production and materials planning in line with set daily, weekly and monthly production plan.
    • Monitor material supply and availability to production areas in order to ensure that deliverables and milestones are achieved.
    • Manage manufacturing projects and support other strategic initiative to ensure customer(s) remain satisfied.
    • Ensure product is delivered on time and in-full in order to meet customer expectations and business requirements.
    • Assess and monitor any potential risk to the production plan, in order to mitigate any delays to timely delivery.
    • Work closely with the Material Demand Controller to ensure material supply and availability to the respective production areas.
    • Work closely with the Plant and Equipment Maintenance team to ensure production is aligned to maintenance work required to enhance equipment and plant reliability and availability
    • Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for the delivered production and departmental performance against the plan.
    • Ensure accurate data and document control, analyse production data from information system and identify trends and areas for continuous improvement.
    • Perform accurate reporting to assist the executive in decision making at SABN.
    • Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality regulations and standards are adhered to in line with the legal requirements.

     Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • National Diploma in Engineering / Production Management
    • 5 years’ experience in master scheduling within a production or manufacturing environment

    Officer: Product Surveillance

    Purpose

    The purpose of this role is to conduct surveillance on securitized products produced by the South African Bank Note Company (SABN).

     Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

    • Effectively execute Product Surveillance work activities, which includes CCTV observation, floor roaming and facility searching, all within the red zone.
    • Ensure that body and facility search is conducted according to policies, procedures & searching protocol.
    • Gather product surveillance data and compile daily reports for management information.
    • Identify risks for assessment and reporting.
    • Comply with policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
    • Support investigations in relation to product surveillance occurrences.
    • Perform ad-hoc duties as and when required.

    The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:

    • Grade 12.
    • Grade C PSIRA Security Registration.
    • 1-2 years relevant experience.

    Recruitment Specialist

    Purpose

    To implement the overall recruitment strategy, sourcing, attracting candidates & building networks of potential hires, conducting interviews and all the administrative work pertaining to recruitment.

    Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

    • Execute recruitment and selection processes in line with the Workforce and Employment Equity (EE) Plan.
    • Develop adverts and publish vacancies, source candidates by performing candidates’ searches using existing recruitment database, approved channels of recruitment and employee referrals.
    • Screen applicants, ensure the right matching of candidates’ skills, knowledge and experience to minimum job requirements.
    • Conduct telephonic screening interviews with the line manager to identify prospective candidates for panel interviews.
    • Compile a long list of prospective candidates and send the list to the line manager and HR Business Partner for shortlisting.
    • Schedule interviews with the recruiting manager, invite candidates for the panel interviews and where necessary conduct the interviews.
    • Brief candidates on the necessary and any relevant information needed for the interviews and other relevant processes
    • Ensure that appropriate Targeted Selection Questionnaires are prepared for the interviews, prepare packs and all necessary logistics for the interviews.
    • Ensure relevant assessments, vetting and reference checks are conducted in line with the company policy.
    • Prepare regret letters for unsuccessful applicants and ensure candidates’ application documentation is filed correctly.
    • Update the recruitment schedule on a daily basis and provide feedback on weekly vacancy status.
    • Consistently look for potential external pipelines and maintain the pipeline database for future career opportunities, maintain accurate recruitment database and records filing.
    • Compile monthly and quarterly recruitment status reports in line with Human Resources Department requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, SABN policies, standards and procedures, including control procedures aimed at mitigating risks.

     Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or any relevant Human Resources qualification
    • 5 – 7 years’ experience in a similar position or as a generalist Human Resources

     Knowledge and Skills:

    • General knowledge of employment laws and practices
    • Recruitment and selection best practices
    • Knowledge of relevant ERP systems.
    • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows
    • Database management and record keeping
    • HR reporting.
