    Senior Content Strategist

    Who we are looking for

    As a Content Strategist at The Delta, you will get to do more than just create valuable content. You will be responsible for owning and developing our content strategy, as well as those of our clients. We are looking for someone that understands how to map different content to specific personas. Who can help improve organic rankings and has a good grasp of SEO. Can create detailed content briefs and calendars, understands how to interpret data around content performance, and takes an experimental approach to marketing.

    Some of the things that you’ll do

    Depending on your role, team, experience, and skill set, this includes:

    • Develop, execute, and optimize content strategies for The Delta and our clients
    • Plan, design, create, edit, and publish relevant content for each stage of the funnel based on business objectives
    • Perform research to gain in-depth knowledge of all client personas
    • Strategize content pillars and sub pillars
    • Plan content and editorial calendars
    • Brainstorm creative ways of engaging the audience online and produce engaging content types
    • Periodically conduct content audits
    • Work cross-departmentally to align with campaign strategies, business development needs, and on occasion our venture managers
    • Provide ongoing actionable insights into content performance to relevant stakeholders
    • Define, measure, and evaluate relevant content KPIs
    • Oversee the day-to-day execution of content strategies
    • Support, manage and upskill a team of content developers
    • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies

    What you’ll need

    • BCom Degree in marketing or a Degree in Communications, English or similar
    • 4 - 6 years’ experience in content marketing
    • Agency experience preferred
    • B2B and B2C experience
    • Experience working in Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
    • Experience and in-depth knowledge of SEO
    • Understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile, SCRUM, and Kanban
    • Critical thinker and problem-solver who pays attention to detail
    • Ability to engage, influence, and inspire stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
    • A high degree of organisation, individual initiative, and personal accountability
    • Team player with great interpersonal, troubleshooting, and communication skills
    • Excellent time-management skills

    Our process

    • Pre-screening (CV, LinkedIn, Portfolio, Assessment Questions, Video Intro).
    • A 30-minute call to assess skill and experience and get to know each other with a relevant team lead.
    • A face-to-face/online technical interview, possibly a whiteboard problem or take-home assignment.
    • A deeper dive culture chat with our Head of Talent Acquisition and /or other team members/leads.
    • Reference checks (at least 2) and personal checks (socials, networks, etc).
    • An option of hanging out with the team (online/offline).

    Intermediate Content Developer

    Who we are looking for

    As a Content Developer at The Delta, you will get to do more than just create valuable content. You will provide input towards content strategies for our clients. We are looking for someone that understands how to create content that aligns with brand values and company personas. They also know how to create different types of content and have SEO knowledge in order to contribute to improved organic rankings. This person should also understand how to interpret data around content performance and take an experimental approach to marketing.

    Some of the things that you’ll do

    Depending on your role, team, experience, and skill set, this includes:

    • Develop, design, create, edit relevant content for each stage of the funnel based on business objectives
    • Perform research to gain in-depth knowledge of all client personas
    • Help plan content and editorial calendars
    • Manage content distribution across different channels
    • Brainstorm creative ways of engaging audiences online and produce engaging content
    • Work cross-departmentally to help with campaigns, business development needs, and on occasion our venture managers
    • Create content such as blogs, articles, podcasts, as well as visual content such as videos, ad creatives, flyers, sales presentations, and social media content
    • Provide ongoing actionable insights into content performance
    • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies
    • Report to our Senior Content Strategist

    What you’ll need

    • BCom Degree in Marketing or a Degree in Communications, English or similar
    • 3 - 5 years’ experience in content marketing
    • Agency experience preferred
    • B2B and B2C experience
    • Portfolio of content
    • Experience working in Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
    • Experience and in-depth knowledge of SEO
    • Proficient with content management software
    • Understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile, SCRUM, and Kanban
    • Critical thinker and problem-solver
    • Good eye for detail
    • Ability to engage, influence, and inspire stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
    • A high degree of organisation, individual initiative, and personal accountability
    • Team player with great interpersonal, troubleshooting, and communication skills
    • Excellent time-management skills
    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
