    General Engineering Superintendent - (Mining)

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    Manages a section of the Engineering Department according to standards and the Mine Health and  Act and Regulations. Major tasks supervision and management, administration, planning and budget control as well as maintenance and loss control.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Ensuring compliance in the area of responsibility, including procedures and code of practices
    • Proper Contractor and site management;
    • Machine and equipment entry and operational permit inspections
    • Consistently achieving the required availabilty and reliability of all equipment and machinery in the area of responsibility;
    • Manage maintenance activities in the area of responsibility
    • Maintenance cost in the area of responsibility;
    • Day to day running of the engineering section;
    • Electrical and mechanical functions in the area of responsibility;
    • Financial and the budgetary effectiveness;
    • Machinery performance and productivity;
    • Achieving monthly production targets while adhering to maintenance schedule; and
    • Execution on capital projects.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

    • N6 Mechanical Engineering Certificate or higher qualification.
    • Valid trade test (millwright or diesel mechanic) will be an advantage.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATION/S

    • Diploma in engineering (NQF 6) or higher

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

    • Minimum of 5 years’ Managerial (Foreman/Superintendent) experience within mining mechanical environment and earthmoving maintenance experience is essential.
    • Proven track record of Executing of Capital Projects
    • Mining experience is essential.

    Receptionist - Johannesburg

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • Provides frontline support to the Johannesburg Head Office.
    • Responsible for welcoming and attending to visitors and dealing with telephonic inquiries from internal and external customer.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • 2 years’ experience within a similar role
    • Valid driver’s license is advantageous
    • Competence in the MS Office suite
