    Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: LECTURER

    • A relevant Master’s degree in Computer Science Education or Information Technology
    • Computer Science Education or Information Technology as a major subject at the undergraduate level
    • A relevant teaching qualification (Preferably at secondary school level)
    • At least two (2) years of relevant lecturing experience at tertiary level or five (5) years relevant experience in SP and FET phase at school level.
    • Specialized knowledge of methodologies of teaching Computer Applications Technology (CAT)/or Information Technology

    • Teaching of CAT and Professional Studies in the SP and FET department
    • Curriculum development and other learning materials
    • Supervising students on teaching practice
    • Research and involvement in research activities (publications and supervision)
    • Academic administration, development, and administration

    • Community engagement
    • Coaching and mentoring of students and staff
    • Learner focus
    • Meticulous planning and organizing skill
    • Perform other functions as may be assigned by the head of department

    Manager: Organisational Effectiveness and Change - (7003)

    Job Purpose

    • Manage the strategic organisational effectiveness approaches of the University; facilitate organisational change to business processes, systems and organisational culture in support of the University’s strategic Vision and plans.
    • Work with Faculties, Departments, Units, and teams across the University, which includes empowering and supporting Human Capital Business Partners (HCBPs) through all initiatives of change, continuous improvement, institutional effectiveness and performance improvement.
    • Be responsible for the design and implementation of the University’s Performance Management (Performance Leadership & Engagement) strategy and processes.
    • Be responsible for all Change Management and Organisational Development initiatives allocated to the Human Capital Department.
    • Work with University leadership and all Human Capital functions to facilitate the creation of an environment that is conducive to the attainment of Vision 2030 and its strategic objectives.

    Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    • Honours’ degree (NQF 8) in Industrial / Organisational Psychology or equivalent in a relevant field within Human Resources Development
    • Certification in Change Management Methodology e.g. PROSCI or similar
    • 6 – 8 years’ experience in the following: Organisational development, Organisation Design, Change Management, Performance Management, Climate and culture assessments, Employee Engagement and Strategic Workforce planning in a large organisation.
    • Project Management certification will be advantageous.

    Talent Acquisition Practitioner x 6 - (6999)

    Job Purpose

    • To provide responsive, professional, efficient and effective talent acquisition services, coordination, and support to the Human Capital Team;
    • To partner with Human Capital Business Partners and relevant stakeholders (Senior Management, Human Capital Management team, Line Managers etc) for purposes of assisting the University to attract the best talent available in the market;
    • Entails the end to end talent acquisition processes (i.e., search, response handling, selection and placement) across the University in support of the Faculties and Departments;
    • To provide professional advice and counsel to talent acquisition and selection panels on the interpretation and application of all relevant policies, legislation, regulations regarding talent acquisition

    • ND in Human Resources Management or equivalent in a related field
    • At least 3 years’ of relevant experience in full cycle recruitment or talent acquisition role, from talent sourcing , attracting, interviewing and hiring

    Supervisor: Talent Acquisition - (6997)

    Job Purpose

    • Operationally manage, support and drive all Talent Acquisition activities, interventions and programmes, including Senior Management Appointments, in line with the Human Capital and Talent Management Strategies which are strategically aligned to the University’s Strategy, Vision and Mission
    • Provide subject matter expertise, as the single point of contact, and support these with talent insights that will enable the University to recruit and select the best quality candidates fit for purpose at all levels.
    • Review and optimise the Talent Acquisition processes, systems and tools with a view to reducing time to hire; and to ensure a highly positive candidate experience

    Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    • BTech in Human Resources Management or equivalent in a related field
    • At least six (6) years’ experience in recruitment – either in a generalist HR environment or in a specialized recruitment environment
    • Relevant experience in Higher education is recommended

    Manager: Employee Relations - (6995)

    Job Purpose
    To manage and promote a strategic employee relations function for the University.

    Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree e.g. Law, Labour Studies etc
    • 6-8 years working as an Employment Relations Practitioner, at least 3 of which must have been at manager level
    • Experience working with Unions in a large and complex working environment.
    • Preference will be given to candidates who are admitted as an attorney, have labour law experience, and professional accreditation as an ER practitioner.
