    Debtors Clerk – Rondebosch Medical Centre

    Description

    • A vacancy exists for a Debtors Clerk, reporting to Patient Administration Manager. The successful candidates will maintain a high level of integrity and ethical standards and assist in day-to-day compilation and completion of financial debtor activities as required.

    Critical Outputs

    • Reconcile medical aid remittance advice and follow up on short payments.
    • Recover outstanding debt from patients and medical aids, actively managing debtors age.
    • Send out statements to Medical Aids and patients timeously.
    • Filing and distribution of all documentation and monitor accuracy of patient accounts.
    • Accurate processing of patient payments and authorized adjustments.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • 3 years’ experience in a similar position in healthcare
    • Computer proficient.

    Critical Outputs

    • Monitor incoming and outgoing calls via the telephone management system and route these accordingly in a professional and friendly manner.
    • Maintain a register of all service problems and present these to management.

    Requirements

    • An opportunity exists for a Unit Manager (NICU), reporting to the Nursing Services Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring and monitoring the quality nursing care coordinating the multidisciplinary team in the unit.

    • Basic understanding of labour legislation, financial and supply chain management principles.

    Case Manager – The Fountain Private Hospital

    Description

    • A vacancy exists for a Case Manager, reporting to the Patient Administration Manager. The position’s primary responsibilities include efficient patient case management and the delivery of an efficient and professional service to the internal and external customers.     Critical Outputs

    • Carry out clinical coding in accordance with CPT and ICD requirements

    Requirements

    • SANC registration as an RN
    • High school matric certificate
    • 3 – 5 years’ experience of basic finance and Medical Aid administration procedures will be an advantage
    • Knowledge of hospital billing and tariffs would be an advantage.
    • Have sound computer literacy skills and working knowledge of MS office, word and excel.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to form and build strong partnerships
    • Excellent negotiation skills & the ability to interact with tact and diplomacy
