    Serial Test EPU Manager - Nigel

    Purpose:

    • Realization of Project /Product Test in accordance with the testing procedure and delivery schedule

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that test technicians have clear and exhaustive understanding of the Acceptance Criteria.

    Educational Requirements

    Mandatory:

    • Minimum qualification, National Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

    Experience:

    • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in Testing & Commissioning of Electrical, Control, onboard communications & network systems within process industry, railways or factory automation
    • Basic level in English language
    • Be familiar with high risk activities in association with Electrical work and EHS requirements

    Maintenance Technician - Pretoria

    Requirements

    • A minimum of a National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
    • Minimum of atleast 2 years’ experience in a similar role and environment
    • Industrial background with 3 to 5 years’ experience preferably in the railway industry
    • Technical/ Electro-Mechanical background with 3 - 5 years’ experience preferably in the railway industry

    Responsibilities :

    Technical Support

    • Support/Interface with Engineering Department for the analysis of all data coming from the field for the purposes of resolution of technical problem on the on trains
    • Reporting of all the anomalies found in commercial service and organization of the same in official reports to be sent to all company function
    • Interface with the customer and the technical fleet management to deal with all emergencies possible arising during the commercial service
    • Support the customer in corrective and preventive maintenance execution by:
    • Coaching and training the customer on executing maintenance task, following procedures delivered by Gibela
    • Render services to the engineering team upon request
    • Answering to all requests addressed by the customer – by call or directly at technical support desk

    Quality Technician, TSSSA Braamfontein

    Purpose of the job:

    • It is to ensure the conformity of the product and support continuous improvement on quality processes.
    • Act swiftly to resolve quality issues.
    • Coordinate quality related topics with customers and suppliers’ at Site level.

    Measurement:

    • Number of defects on products inspected. Demerit by project & consolidation.
    • Nonconformity treatment – curative / corrective and CONQ.
    • Inspection at the workstation – number of reworks, missing parts, NCR, derogations, modifications.
    • Return of experience at the workstation – to highlight areas of improvement & recommend possible corrective action.
    • Reactivity to solve issues.
    • Consistency with Quality animation (APSYS score).
    • Maturity of APSYS and other Quality requirements (i.e. QMS, Special process, Calibration of Tooling)

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure the conformity of the product delivered.
    • Ensure the respect of the Control Plan and Self Inspection at each workstation.
    • Accurately document NCR and results of the inspections/testing/audits, so to launch the expected reaction on responsible teams (using QRQC etc.)
    • Analyse records of non-conformity to find the root cause of repetitive non compliancy/ reworks – QRQC or/and other methods.
    • Maintain all controlled document files and records in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and checklists.
    • Escalate anomalies detected in operations & ensure effective treatment (QRQC tool).
    • Ensure Quality animation methodology, in line with APSYS requirements.

    Day to day quality actions

    • Ensure quality is built into the processes.

    Requirements

    • Qualification in Quality Management, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
    • Technical knowledge with 1-3 years’ experience, with understanding of critical characteristics of the products (i.e. mechanical, electrical, parts etc), preferably in the railway industry, ideally in an international organization.
    • Experience in applying Quality tools and problem-solving tools in manufacturing/services.
    • General railway and Train knowledge.
    • Working knowledge of Health, Safety & Quality standards.

    Depot Methods Engineer

    Minimum Requirements:

    • B Tech Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
    • MMIS/SAP/MAXIMO IBM/ Mobile remote execution system/Other ERP system use.
    • Previous solid experience working as an Industrial/Methods Engineer in a similar environment for at least 1 year.

    Purpose:

    • Industrialise the Preventive and Corrective maintenance (including EMD) of the train for Operations in the depot considering existing standards & project constraints.
    • Create and update the industrial documentation necessary for Maintenance activities from Preventive, Corrective including excluded matter damages and modifications.
    • Follow-up on the activities and manage all tools (standard and special) and devices on site, from reception of the device until it’s end of life. Be the first line of support for the system tools and devices (GSI/SES/ALISTA/Master data etc).
    • Provide the depot with optimum solutions for the industrialisation of activities by evaluating the requirements.
    • Lead continuous improvement at the depots under the support of the APSYS & CI central team.
