About the Job

• Responsible for the transportation and handling of bales on the receiving floor to ensure that adequate production levels are always maintained. The forklift driver is expected to ensure that bales are neatly stacked and ready for the OM floor and Bin line. As well as any adhoc duties.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• 3 yrs warehousing experience
• Forklift license (valid)
• Forklift warehousing experience will be an advantage
• Must be able to perform under pressure.
• Must be able to work in a team.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Writing and arithmetic skills
• Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
• Must be able to perform under pressure and follow instructions.
• Attention to detail

Key Functions

• Ensure that the flow of bales to the OM and S&V lines are continuance and uninterrupted.
• Ensure that bales are being transported efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure lots are complete before they are loaded on the gravity feed.
• Responsible for Forklift
• Health and Safety
• To perform any other ad hoc activities/duties/tasks as requested by his superior anywhere in the plant (BKB) premises.

About the Job

We need:

• Grade 12
• 2 years’ experience in warehousing / receiving will be an advantage.
• Appropriate computer skills / computer literate – Windows
• Basic Wool and Mohair industry knowledge
• Strong administrative skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills
• Bilingual (English and Afrikaans)

Key Function

Fibre admin:

• Fibre admin internal queries
• Handling Lot Number - Issue lot numbers as shown in book
• Interact in a positive manner with the client

Allocation of Wolmonster:

• All samples are written in A5 book.
• You have to ensure that entries are assigned to correct client.

Timesheets:

• Rollcall - for receipts
• Ensure that all information is correct on timesheet.

Datacapturing:

• Data capture of clip advice.
• All information must be captured correctly.

Assist in Receiving Wool and Mohair:

• Ensure that all information is correctly documented.
• If information is not correct the client will not be paid for wool and mohair.

Assist Marking of bales:

• If bales are not correctly marked the bales will be misplaced and send to wrong department.
• Bales get lost in the warehouse.
• Candidate should be willing to perform or assist with any other tasks that is required of them in a positive manner to ensure greater flow of production.

• The purpose of this post is to ensure that all of the bales are marked correctly to improve productivity in the receiving department.

Requirements

• Knowledge of warehouse and wool administration system
• Writing and arithmetic skills
• Precision and accuracy
• Must be able to work in a team.
• Be prepared to work overtime and shifts when required to do so.
• Be prepared to work for long hours under pressure.
• Be physically fit and in good health.

• Ensure that bales are accurately marked to improve productivity.

Health and Safety:

• Always maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Report any safety hazards in the working environment to your supervisor/management.
• Report any discrepancies to your line manager.
