      Investigator: Governance Surveillance and Enforcement

      Required Minimum education/training.

      • B. Degree in Law or Commerce

      Required Minimum work experience:

      • Entry-level: 1-2 years of legal or regulatory experience; 1 year of experience in investigations and enforcement actions in terms of the companies, close corporations or co-operatives legislation
      • Intermediate level: 3-5 year of legal or investigative experience; 3 years of experience in investigations and enforcement actions in terms of the companies, close corporations or co-operatives legislation

      Key performance areas:     

      • To monitor, investigate and enforce compliance with governance requirements and accreditation criteria in accordance with approved guidelines, operating policies and procedures and set norms and standards.
      • To make input into operating policies, procedures and guidelines.
      • To provide training to new staff.
      • To receive and resolve customer queries.
      • To report on performance and to identify and escalate performance constraints and any risks
      • Background verification, including criminal record and citizenship checks, as well as a competency assessment will form part of the selection process. It is the applicants' responsibility to have their foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

      Facilities and Security Manager

      Key performance areas:

      • Manage physical security within the organisation, at the main campus office and the self service centres.
      • Conduct physical security assessment, identify, evaluate and analyse criminal and security threats and develop integrity and Information programmes
      • Assist with monitoring adherence and compliance to security policies and procedures.
      • Assist with the management and monitoring of technical security surveillance systems.
      • Conduct security information sessions and awareness programmes
      • Establish and maintain effective and efficient administrative system
      • Ensure administration of vetting office and align with vetting requirements of SSA.
      • Attend security management forum hosted by Security State Agency and submit reports on monthly basis
      • Provide effective facilities management services to the main office as well as the self service centres
      • Collaborate with EWH to ensure a conducive working environment at all times
      • Attend facilities management workshop hosted by dtic and submit reports
      • Benchmark, audit and develop/review facilities management policy and procedures for optimal working environment
      • Adapt the facilities to support the requirements of a hybrid (remote and in-person) working environment
      • Provide rapid effective facilities management solution in case of disasters such as pandemic, floods, fires, etc
      • Compile reports on all facilities management and security management activities, monthly and as required.
      • Manage all facilities and security related contractual agreements on the campus and at CIPC self service centres.
      • Ensure all security tools and systems are fully functional at all times and provide reports as and when required, for the campus and the self service centres.
      • Conduct investigation when required and participate in the Loss Control Committee and other relevant committees
      • Benchmark, evaluate and review security-related policies and procedures on a regular basis
      • Ensure all audit findings are addressed timeously and that policies are implemented
      • Background verification, including criminal record and citizenship checks, as well as a competence

      Requirements

      Required Minimum education/ training:

      • National Diploma or B Degree in Security/Security Risk Management and 
      • National Diploma/B Degree in Business Administration will be an added advantage (highly desirable)
      • PSIRA Grade A certificate
      • Valid driver's license

      Required Minimum work experience:

      • Five (5) years' experience of which 2 are at Middle Management level.
      • Five (5) years' functional experience in a Security services environment.
      • Three (3) years' operational experience in Facilities Management.
      • Must have an operational understanding of Minimum Information Security Standards and its application.
      • Knowledge of project management and understanding of security and risk management in the Public Sector is essential.
      • Sound knowledge of facilities management that includes disaster risk mitigation and wellness operational plans.
      • Proven experience in establishing a conducive working environment.
      • Knowledge of contract management and SLA negotiation.
