    Regional Product Line Manager - Digital Services

    You will be part of the Regional Product Line Management Team who provide sustainable solutions for our customers by providing the highest quality technical expertise. By joining this team, you will have a chance to work in an international environment involving different cultures and challenges.

    Role Purpose

    To build and develop the regional digital services market in conjunction with the regional sales team (capital and service) and to drive the long-term business strategy for the product line with a view to increase market share and to promote retention of aftermarket business. Continuously improve product operational efficiency and the technical competence of the local team in the product line. Provide expert knowledge and support for the product line, from a process, mechanical, operational, maintenance and R&D perspective. To contribute strongly to the overall company result and culture. 

    Your responsibilities

    • Lead the development of sustainable profitable growth of the product line for the region, by implementing the long-term strategy; driving operational efficiency, and growing personal technical competence and that of the regional team
    • Engage, motivate and influence individuals and large diverse teams (sales and service teams) to continually increase customer satisfaction related to the product line.
    • Meet potential and existing clients for growing, maintaining and leveraging client network for further business.
    • Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including those who may be affected by the company’s operational activities.
    • Hold or develop the technical ability to support the internal and external customers of the product line from a process, mechanical, operational, maintenance and R&D perspective
    • Work closely with global product line and service line management
    • Work with sales and proposals teams to develop proposals that address client’s needs, concerns and objectives for the end-user customer and EPCM companies.
    • Give input for business development planning and attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, present technical papers at these events, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
    • Arrange and participate in internal and external client audits.
    • Arrange and participate in internal and external (customer) product training.

    • Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products and distribution channels and advise on competitor activity for the product line.

    • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the product offering’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
    • Support the sales teams in forecasting sales targets and in meeting these targets.

    What you bring

    • A relevant tertiary level qualification, ideally an engineering degree, in metallurgical, electrical or industrial engineering or a business degree
    • At least 10 years’ experience within the mining industry.
    • At least 3 years’ experience in the product line internally or externally
    • At least 5 years’ experience in a business development role with demonstrable success in growing the business
    • A basic functional knowledge of the integration of field instruments, machine control, SCADA and advance process control systems and cloud-based digital solutions and services.
    • Existing strong network of key stakeholders within the mineral processing industry.
    • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to work with customers, contractors and other personnel on a daily basis
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Good organisation, multitasking and time management skills that delivers effective planning and housekeeping standards.

    Product Support Manager - Milling Wears

    Your responsibilities:

    • Ensures for the complete service offering across the lifecycle of products within the Mining Industry, including Technical Services (TS) Offerings. Go to market Proposal strategy for TS in collaboration with relevant teams

    Key Accountabilities

    • Provides input for strategies for Development, Go To Market and Supply Chain for Technical Services
    • Estimates sales support needs for the regions including training, sales materials etc.
    • Provides tools and services that help drive internal and external productivity
    • Gathers, Monitors and Analyses Market Trends and competition
    • Acts as voice of the customer in order to ensure our services match or exceed customer needs
    • Defines Services Marketing Strategy and Support Marketing and Regions in the implementation
    • Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities
    • Follow the liners performance and customer trends.

    Proposals Administrator - Chloorkop

    Role Purpose:

    • Manage all RFQ’s, prepare refurbishment proposals and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

    Your responsibilities

    RFQ

    • Receive and register all RFQ’s within the company system and communicate to the planning team.
    • Update the production minutes daily.

    Proposals

    • Compile proposals for refurbishments and upgrading of equipment including the technical and commercial aspects.
    • Coordinate input from various departments, including, but not limited to engineering, legal, sales and planning to develop proposals in line with customer expectations.
    • Handle complex proposals supported by risk assessment, cash flow, scope of supply definition and project schedules.
    • Ensure that the Scope of Work is properly defined in conjunction with the client, planning and workshop departments.
    • Review Engineering reports and confirm that the scope of refurbishment is aligned with the proposal before submitting both documents to the client or sales team.
    • Review previous refurbishment jobs for cost comparisons.
    • Ensure that cost estimates are accurate and in line with the Scope of Work.
    • Review the Terms and Conditions of Contract and liaise with the legal department.
    • Submit proposals and negotiate the final Scope of Work and Conditions of Contract.
    • Formulate cost break downs from estimates for scope of supply.

    Purchase Orders

    • Pro-actively follow up on quotations and expedite orders with the sales team.
    • Upon receipt of a Purchase Order, verify price, SOW, lead time and commercial terms are in line with the proposal and are still valid.
    • Prepare order acknowledgement and hand over to the planning team for execution.

    General

    • Maintaining records of customer communications and sales activities.
    • Ensure that the sales team are kept informed of any key developments relevant to their accounts.
    • Compile and keep updated proposal documentation and master templates
    • Must be able to independently manage a challenging workload when faced with unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines.

    What you bring

    • Experience (5+ years) in a similar position within a service mining environment.
    • Demonstrated costing, proposals, commercial and scheduling skills.
    • Knowledge on FLS mining equipment would be beneficial.
    • Relevant tertiary qualification.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
    • Good negotiation skills.

    Works Manager - Chloorkop

    Role Purpose:

    • To lead and manage the workshop assembly, machining and fabrication departments.
    • Drive productivity, efficiency, and growth through continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Drive the vision of the Chloorkop Service Centre being the centre of excellence (COE) for various products including but not limited to HPGR’s, gearboxes and Mill components.
    • Ensure compliance to ISO requirements in the Service Centre – Quality, Safety & Environmental.

    Your responsibilities

    Coordination

    • Coordinate all workshop activities to achieve maximum efficiency between departments.
    • Manage workshop loading and job prioritization to deliver on agreed completion dates.
    • Support the planning team with costing and lead time estimates based on workshop loading.
    • Plan, track and manage all jobs on the workshop floor in conjunction with the foreman.
    • Ensure jobs are completed within the allocated time and cost estimates.

    Maintenance

    • Manage the maintenance of all equipment and tooling within the workshop in conjunction with the foreman.
    • Ensure critical spares are available to minimize downtime on equipment.

    Resources

    • Promote teamwork and open collaboration throughout the workshop.
    • Maintain the required utilization % targets per department.
    • Manage resources effectively to achieve deliverables.
    • Drive performance of individual team members.
    • Motivate, coach and develop workshop staff for continuous growth and succession planning.
    • Manage staff overtime and fatigue.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Proactively look for and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure lessons learnt are discussed, documented and reviewed for repeat jobs.
    • Plan and implement effective quality control measures to prevent rework.
    • Assist the GM to build strategic capacity and capability in required areas.

    HSE

    • Ensure compliance of equipment and staff to the OHSA & Regulations as well as all other company policies and procedures.
    • Ensure an ergonomic, neat, safe and orderly work environment including demarcation, stacking, storage, utilization of floor space and production flow.
    • Maintain a strong safety culture and lead by example.
    • Ensure quality, safety and environmental standards are adhered to.
    • Oversee daily toolbox talks at the white boards and monitor participation and engagement.

    What you bring

    • Experience (8+ years) in a similar leadership position within a service workshop environment.
    • Relevant technical qualification.
    • Demonstrated manufacturing, production and leadership skills.
    • Knowledge of FLS mining equipment
    • Costing and scheduling experience.
    • Project management experience would be beneficial.

    Knowledge of the following:

    • Raw materials and heat treatment practices
    • Quality systems and standards
    • Health and safety standards and compliance
    • Process improvement techniques
