    Jet Cadet - Kempton Park

    PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION:

    • Candidate will be selected to undergo a Jet Orientation (JOC) course and complete the B737 rating;
    • Candidate will be required to sign a 5 year Training Bond;
    • Candidate will be afforded the opportunity to build 1000 to 1500 hours on type;
    • Flying will be done with a Training Captain or Line Check Captain;
    • The Cadet will be required to work in Operations Support as part of their training as rostered and as the training schedule allows;
    • The program will run for approximately 18 to 24 months subject to operational limitations;
    • Applicants will be required to successfully pass the psychometric and sim assessments to qualify for the program.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12;
    • Must be in possession of a frozen valid ATP (Multi-Engine/Instrument Rating);
    • Valid Class 1 Medical.

    Support Analyst (CITEAM) - Kempton Park

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Investigate and analyse support tickets logged from the various business streams;
    • To engage in problem analysis and resolution;
    • Escalate to second line support with relevant information;
    • Handover from project implementation to operations support;
    • Trend analysis of support issues to identify root cause;
    • Strong customer-centric focus is essential;
    • SLA recording and reporting;
    • System Administration;
    • Testing of application releases when required;
    • Excellent client communications;
    • Perform standby support activities for critical business systems.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric;
    • Aviation experience is beneficial;
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience on Support Desk;
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience on Application Support.

    Finance Manager - Kempton Park

    Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair, has a vacancy for a Finance Manager at our head office in Bonaero Park. The successful application will report to the Executive Manager: Finance

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Define financial requirements against mandated goals and objectives;
    • Assess these requirements in financial terms, determining what is achievable using available financial resources and what additional resources may be required;
    • Ability to prepare annual budgets of group entities, forecasts and cashflows and monthly ad hoc costing exercise as required;
    • Ability to prepare audit related schedules required;
    • Act as a communicator with the auditors with regards to audit relating queries;
    • Produce monthly and quarterly financial reports to shareholders;
    • Ability to prepare annual financial statements for group companies and reports for different stakeholders within the business used for decision making;
    • Must ensure compliance of accounting records to relevant accounting and taxation standards and regulation;
    • Legislation relating to airport passenger taxes, ensure compliance to legislation relating to carbon emissions, ensure understanding of contractual agreements and Government gazetted charges regarding operational expenses and correct billing thereof;
    • Acts as a resource, coach and mentor;
    • Serves as a role model, leading by example;
    • Demonstrates ability to manage \unit workload, employee relations and personnel functions;
    • Identifies and removes barriers that reduce efficiency or effectiveness;
    • Motivates others to accomplish unit goals;

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12;
    • Qualified Accountant – BComm degree;
    • Must have completed articles;
    • Must have experience in an accounting software package;
    • At least five years of experience in a management-level or accountant position;
    • Experience in budget preparation and reporting
    • Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections;
    • Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects;
    • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings;
    • Experience in the preparation and finalisation of accounts in accordance with current South African regulations;
    • Numerate with excellent written and verbal communications skills;
    • Time management; 
    • Good presentation skills;
    • Strong financial acumen; 
    • Complex problem solving;
    • Effective decision making skills;
    • Effective management and delegation;
    • A professional manner and excellent customer service skills to stakeholders.
