    Artisan Coordinator (Mechanical) Snr

    • Planning, organising, leading and controlling the engineering teams daily activities & tasks.
    • Managing the engineering team of boilermakers, fitters, riggers, servicemen and learners
    • Plant equipment maintenance, repairs, reaching plant availability targets.
    • Continuous improvement of plant equipment to reach production targets.
    • Ensuring plant conformance to statutory requirements such as (general machinery compliance, tool & equipment compliance, plant safety device maintenance and inspections)
    • Manufacturing of equipment as per drawings. Installation of steel structures.
    • Ensuring the availability of all plant spares.
    • Adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental standards and housekeeping.
    • Internal and external theoretical and on the job training of artisans, ensuring the engineering teams are trained and competent for all tasks to be performed.

    Coordinator: Group Contracts & Reporting

    • Review tender enquiry documents and ensure that they clearly articulate contracting requirements and performance management.
    • Review tender qualification submissions and advise on areas of concern for consideration for contracting.
    • Prepare and draft final contract documentation that reflects the commercial, legal and performance agreement.
    • Analyse potential risk involved in specific contract terms and anticipate legal concerns to be raised with legal counsel and internal stakeholders.
    • Lead contract negotiations with external legal counsels of suppliers
    • Stay up-to date with legislative changes and coordinate with the legal department.
    • Interpret formal feedback from Group Legal Counsel and/or External Legal Counsel
    • Review all group contract addendums.
    • Investigate and report on non-compliance or breach to contract and regulatory conditions.
    • Maintain organised system of physical and digital records of contract.

    Glencore Coal SA Graduate Development Program - Learning Content Development

    We adopt a comprehensive and practical approach to ensure the holistic development of our graduates.

    As a successful candidate, you will follow a structured development program comprising of:

    • A Fixed term contract of 24-48 months;
    • Exposure to various aspects of your discipline and rotation across different parts of the business;
    • Development in both the technical and behavioural aspects;
    • Emphasis on practical exposure, learning from experienced professionals through assignments and coaching, and attending relevant courses and workshops;

     To be eligible for the Graduate Development Program, you will meet the following minimum requirements:

    • Relevant Degree in Information Technology (Multimedia, Wed Development or Graphic Design), Instructional Design, Educational Technology or Computer Science.
    • Experience in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro) and Coding (HTML and CSS).
    • Experience in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Lectora or Adobe Captivate will be advantageous.
    • Learning orientation, rule orientation and willingness to work as part of a team.
    • Preference will be given to applicants residing in the local communities where Glencore Coal Operations South Africa are located (Nkangala District of the Mpumalanga province – proof of residence to be submitted with application.

    Grade Controller

    Key Responsibilities

    • Borehole logging, planning and updating of mine plans.
    • Ensuring quality through efficient Grade Control Practice (i.e. Horizon control, yield management & contamination).
    • Mapping of geological features.
    • Assisting and coaching production personnel responsible for mining operations (i.e. ensuring that the grade profile and monthly planned/forecast yields are achieved).
    • Managing geological databases.
    • Assisting with Coal Quality simulations.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Geology.
    • Driver’s license (Code EB/08).

    Minimum Experience:

    • Completed Graduate Development Programme or minimum 2 years’ relevant experience.
