    Field Service Engineer - Germinston

    Job Summary:

    • Inspects, repairs and test Company products that have been returned by the customer.  May provide technical service via phone to the customer.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Product:   Provides diagnostic analysis, repair and/or preventative maintenance of customer products in service shops or installations at customer locations.
    •  Reports:  Prepares and submits written reports of in-house or site visit inspections with recommendations.  
    • Reviews and edits reports before they are sent to the customer.
    • Training:  Trains employees, customers and vendors in correct operation and maintenance of product.
    • Service Bulletins:  Assists in development of service bulletins, procedures, etc. for both warranty products and out-of-warranty service.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.

    Experience Required:

     

    • Excellent knowledge of all the mechanical aspects of the machinery/product line.  
    • Must be able to read blueprints, good math aptitude.  
    • Excellent communication skills required to explain operations and maintenance of products.

    Education/Training Required:

    • Technical./ vocational or Matric Certificate required.  
    • Good computer skills necessary
    • Valid trade test certificate in Millwright and/or Mechanical Fitter and Turner

    Service Manager - Oilfree & High Pressure - Germinston

    Job Summary:

    The Service Manager position is responsible for providing the leadership for all service activities from the installation of new equipment or implementation of a services contract through lifetime connectivity with that customer. Processes within that oversight include support of sales through contract pricing on parts and service, field service coordination, management of technicians and service supervisors, customer satisfaction, and responsibility for the revenue and margin of the parts and service business within the geography.  Provides strategy for connectivity and services growth within the defined region. This position is responsible for service growth for customers accounts across Southern Africa. 

     Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with sales on contract pricing of parts and services to maintain and enhance profitable service operations. 
    • Accountable for full services portfolio performance of defined portion of the Area.  Ensure technicians training and skill level is appropriately balanced to service customers, and leverage resources across the district.  This includes emergency repair (break /fix), regular maintenance contracts, scheduled work and upgrades, installations, replacement components (parts), and long-term service agreements
    • Accountable for the DSOR, MDI and service coordination process/function (via our IDM process).  Will partner with the Operations Leader who is responsible for the DSOR, MDI and service coordination process/function. 
    • Effectively attract, coach, counsel, train and develop all service employees.  Drive continuous improvement through company performance management process and technical product training programs available. Develop employee skill levels, including customer service, process and technical skills, to the highest degree possible.   
    • Proactively build the technician and supervisor pipeline (internally and externally) and strategically manage your workforce to prevent resource gaps. 
    • Maximize cash flow by ensuring invoices are generated immediately upon completion of work, managing expense budgets, and increasing utilization of the service team.  Ensure that standard service work processes are created and followed. Improve transactional processes impacting the customer experience and increase overall customer satisfaction. 
    • Ensure environmental, health and safety compliance within service team. Provide training to all employees to ensure a safe and productive work environment both in the shop and at customer sites. 
    • Visit customers on a regular basis to build relationships and provide solutions. 
    • Participate in local associations or groups to build external awareness and network. 

     Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree  in a related discipline; Engineering, Technical, Marketing or Business preferred. Technical capabilities are a plus. 
    • Possess a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in industrial product space, preferably with a diverse product portfolio including service offerings.  
    • Leadership skills are essential. Individual must be able to manage an hourly technical workforce, including remote employees, as well as salaried staff.  
    • Work is completed through other employees, so this person must excel at hiring, developing, training, coaching, leading and motivating a diverse workforce for optimal results.

    Distribution Sales Manager

    Job Summary:

    As a Distribution Sales Manager you would be responsible for ARO, Sub-Saharan Africa. Your job would include reaching out and travelling directly to our customers. Besides time on your travels in this area, you will be able to spend your time working in a hybrid way – from your own home as well as the office to help you balance out your work-life balance.     RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and grow profitable sales for the ARO Business through Distribution or OEM channels in the Africa region with the exception of North Africa
    • Partner, drive and support Distribution to grow the business by identifying new opportunities, application or potential key accounts while being present directly “in the field”
    • Share and provide product, application and market expertise to Distribution
    • Analyze the market trends, opportunity descriptions, business cases, reports etc. and provide their conclusions to the Sales Team Leadership
    • Provide product, sales, technical support to customers and product training to Distributors and OEMs when needed
    • Introduce and follow new products or local initiatives
    • Collaborate with Order Management, Marketing, Engineering or Product Management on problem solving strategies

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5+ years of proven experience in sales with technical products to distributors and to end users
    • Expertise in Positive Displacement Pumps technology and their applications is required (Ideally Air Operated Diaphragm Pumps)
    • Fluency in English language required, another foreign language is a plus
    • Flexibility, willingness to travel around 70% of the working time
    • Being a technical school graduate or having an engineering degree (with some solid business skills) gives you a great advantage
    • Good Knowledge and understanding of the Pump Market, Chemical Processing Industry is a plus
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills to connect with people in a dynamic international environment that is always developing
    • Self-motivation and ability of independent sales activity
    • Open-minded attitude and curiosity about new ways of how to develop our business as well as your skills. Creative, proactive approach to problem solving and risk taking is always welcomed!
    • Good knowledge of MS Office

    Health and Safety
