    SIAM Change Management - Lead

    Function Description:

    • The SIAM function manages multiple service suppliers by integrating them, so they can collaborate to provide the customer expected value. The integration introduces the concept of a single, customer-facing logical entity known as the service integrator.

    Career Type Description:

    • The Change Manager role under the SIAM function has the responsibility to ensure requested changes and version releases of applications, services and infrastructure into the live environment are risk minimised, controlled, and communicated.
    • Recommends and implements programs to support customer needs
    • Responsibilities are within the Customer Support/Operations Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

    Profile Description:

    • Accountability and responsibility to record, assess, categorize, prioritize, plan, evaluate, release and review all changes in accordance with the Change Management process,
    • Review RFCs (request for change) to ensure they are compliant with the process minimum requirements to proceed with the process flow and guide the submitter to prevent a recurrence. Review CI’s, risk and impact,
    • Advising requestors from within the customer and third-party organization of the correct process of instigating an RFC,
    • Design and formulate communication templates, frequency and recipients,
    • Define and implement KPIs for the Change Management process,
    • Develop reports to the participating Business Units,
    • Coach, support and guide participants in the process into their roles and responsibilities and how they contribute to the maturity of the process

    Facilities Technician

    Function Description:

    • The role is responsible for the smooth running of the customer’s on-site Data Centre’s, Server Rooms, Boardrooms and IS Workspaces. The technician will work very closely with the Facilities Manager to support environments where infrastructure includes, but is not limited to, HVAC(Cooling), power redundancy (UPS, Inverter, Generator), Environment monitoring, fire detection, access control and audio visual.

    Career Type Description:

    • The role supports the customer though the resolution of data centre and VC incidents and outages, identification and actioning data centre risk, improvements to current data centre environments and, monitoring of data centre facilities.

    Profile Description:

    • Identify and action or escalate risks. 
    • Monitor and ensure the functioning of data centre and sever room facilities.
    • Ensure the proper planning, installation, and commissioning of new data centre services as needed. 
    • Liaise with vendors for the management of current services, and the planning and installation of new services. 
    • Decommissioning and storage or disposal of facilities that is no longer required by the client. 
    • Responsibilities are in the data centre infrastructure, and facilities function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines. 
    • Extensive local travel to the regional sites across Gauteng, Free State & Northwest.  
    • Plans, direct and controls data centre and server room facilities on behalf of client. 
    • Experience in Video conferring and audio-visual infrastructure.
    • Experience in fast paced ICT delivery environments with competing and changing priorities.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to drive issues to resolution.
    • Experience in HVAC (Cooling), power redundancy (UPS, inverter, generator), environmental monitoring, fire detection, access control.
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build sound business relationships with stakeholders.
    • Good written and spoken communications at all levels of business.
    • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
    • Organised approach to work, managing own and others workload.
    • Experienced at setting up meetings and keeping minutes.
    • Experience in use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Experience in a mining or industrial environment.
