About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced Coordinator - Planning to join our Supply Chain Planning team either in our QLD offices located in South Africa or Portugal.

The Coordinator - Planning coordinates planning activities in support of the Planning team in EMEA region.

What you will be doing

• Supports daily priority planning of deliveries with transport operators from each supply site based on materials requirements planning (MRP) to customers S
• upports execution of daily scheduling and capacity confirmation between supply point and total outbound distribution
• Supports maintenance of bulk material master settings by region for DRP process
• Applies best practice stock management principles for real time production posting and inventory movements
• Communicates and links market place activities with production priorities
• Supports the collation of all bulk material requirements for export, ex gate sales and field requirements into a weekly supply plan by production site
• Effectively captures and communicates delivery and manufacturing data to key stakeholders as required
• Supports implementation of master production schedule weekly and control the daily MRP and DRP processes

What you will bring

• Professional experience in planning or similar
• University Degree in Mathematics, Engineering or Management
• Experience with SAP (Mandatory)

About the role
We are searching for a dedicated Specialist – Projects who will assume the responsibility of supporting the ORICA PPM process from Estimating of projects and initiatives in the business to data cleansing and adherence/compliance to the ORICA project execution manual for the PPM portfolio in support of the engineering projects group. This role will be reporting to the Senior Engineer Projects. 
The successful candidates will be based in our Rosebank office in Johannesburg with regular travels to our Africa operations.

What you will be doing

• Completing project estimates in line with business needs and engineering concepts;
• Compiling and reviewing BOQ’s with specific vendors for improved estimating of projects;
• Building a library of regional and country specific rates in line with future estimates;
• Supporting and embedding a culture of robust discipline in the ORICA project investment portfolio;
• Generating & Work flowing PPM’s in accordance with ORICA Project Execution Manual;
• Routine reporting of project actual spends against budget and forecast on portfolio level;
• Regional Projects folder compliance and auditing;
• Assets Total cost of ownership calculations – Fixed and Mobile Assets including TCO improvement.

What you will bring

• National Diploma / B-Tech / B Degree in suitable technical field (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Quantity Surveying);
• Minimum 7 years’ experience post qualification;
• Previous experience in estimating project activities from both greenfield and brownfield projects is a requisite;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholders; 
• Competent in MS Office applications;
• Competent in MS Project application;
• Competent in application and execution of SAP managed systems;
