    Triton Express: Diesel Mechanic (Johannesburg)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Servicing and repairing heavy commercial vehicles & trailers as per OEM Spec.
    • Good Knowledge of Volvo, Scania, Isuzu, Merc, UD Trucks & Commercial Trailers.
    • Strong Diagnostics / fault finding and repairing vehicles skills.
    • Replacing faulty components as per OEM requirements.
    • Knowledge of which OEM special tools to be used to carry out repairs.
    • Must be conversant with diagnostic and fault-finding equipment. Laptops, Multimeters etc.
    • Attending to the overhauling and replacements of engines, gearboxes and differentials and related components.
    • Inspecting and checking vehicles and reporting all defects to management.
    • Having good experience in welding, repairing bodywork of trucks and trailers, preparation & spray painting.
    • Good mechanical, electrical and electronic knowledge and experience and fault finding.
    • Servicing, maintaining and fault finding on hydraulic components and systems.
    • Good Knowledge of all types of trailers, fitted with air suspensions and Air Brakes.
    • Good Knowledge of air brake systems & air over hydraulic brakes diagnosing and repairing of problems.
    • Attending to breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing vehicles onsite. (where possible).
    • Willing to work extended hours and overtime on short notice, as well as weekends and being on standby 24 /7 at times.
    • Workstation should always be kept clean and safe.
    • Adherence to legislation, OSHA, National Road Traffic Act and Company policies and procedures.
    • Working knowledge of tyres and tyre failures.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 minimum (Matric).
    • Certified Diesel Mechanic – Trade Certificate preferably 10 years post trade test experience.
    • Preferably trade / apprenticeship done at a recognized Franchised OEM Truck Dealership.
    • Training courses with OEMs will be advantages.
    • Preferably minimum of 5 years’ experience working on Volvo, Mercedes and Scania, UD and Isuzu trucks including breakdowns.
    • Ability to use a laptop to diagnose vehicles.
    • Unendorsed driver’s license- preferrable code 14 / EC type license.
    • Valid PDP.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Ability to work unsupervised majority of the time.
    • Ability to communicate both verbally and written on all levels – both internally and externally.
    • Ability to work as a team player.
    • Good time management – meeting specific deadlines.
    • Attention to detail always – accuracy.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Admissions Management:

    • Enquiry Handling.
    • Respond promptly and professionally to admissions inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
    • Provide prospective families with comprehensive information about the school’s academic, extracurricular, and admissions processes.

    Admissions Process Coordination:

    • Organize and manage all admissions documentation, ensuring timely completion and compliance with school policies.
    • Schedule and facilitate school tours, interviews, entrance assessments, and orientation programs.

    Follow-Ups and Communication:

    • Maintain consistent and proactive communication with prospective families, guiding them through the admissions process.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure the distribution of promotional and informational materials.

    Record Management:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date admissions data within the school’s management systems (e.g., ADAM and Finance systems).
    • Generate regular reports on admissions trends and statistics for leadership review.

    Front Office Administration.

    Reception Duties:

    • Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, ensuring clear and efficient communication.

    Office Coordination:

    Qualifications:

    • Education Min: Diploma in Admin, Communications and or related field
    • Ideal: Degree in Admin, Communications and or related field

    Experience:

    • 2-3 years’ experience in admissions, customer service, administrative or clerical role preferably in an educational setting.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Seed counting and packaging
    • Soaking, washing and drying seedling trays
    • Preparing seedling mix for seedling tray filling
    • Tray filling with seedling mix
    • Sowing according to the sowing list
    • Moving seedling trays from germ room to seedling house after 72 hrs of sowing and putting in order
    • Preparing seedling mix for planting pots
    • Filling of planting pots with seedling mix
    • Moving in filled pots and arranging them in the greenhouses
    • Connecting drippers to the pots
    • Loading crates onto pickup truck
    • Offloading the crates at the greenhouses
    • Placing labelled crates next to the trial plots accordingly
    • Harvesting fruits for yield data

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 National Senior Certificate (Essential)
    • Experience in agriculture is an advantage.
