    Warehouse and Distribution Manager - Chemical Industry - R500K - R400K

    Description

    • RPO Recruitment’s client in the chemical industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Warehouse & Distribution Manager to join their team in KwaZulu-Natal.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement strategies for operational growth to facilitate business targets.
    • Managing and supervising staff, including mentoring and guiding staff so they can achieve relevant KPI’s and to continue to improve and grow within the business.
    • To maintain and enforce all health and safety protocols in the warehouse and conduct regular toolbox talks with staff to facilitate a culture of safety within the warehouse.
    • To maintain all equipment, vehicles, and forklifts to ensure they are in good working order and adhere to safety requirements.
    • Investigation and documentation of all incidents within the department by means of the Sheqsys system.
    • Ensure 5S standards and housekeeping is always maintained.
    • Ensure adherence to all relevant ISO Quality and Environmental standards, and all necessary documentation required is maintained and reported at audits.
    • Obtain quotes, as required, for capex, maintenance or other purchases required for warehouse.
    • Layout of warehouse to ensure optimum space utilization and safe storage of all stocks as per legislative requirements and to maintain FIFO and batch traceability.
    • To maintain accuracy of inventory by enforcing tight control of all inbound and outbound movements and transactions and through conducting regular perpetual counts and quarterly counts.
    • Ensure all documented information and records are maintained in line with company requirements.

    Requirements

    • A qualification in supply chain management or a business degree.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing industry and similar role.
    • Excel, sage, decision making skills, problem solving, strategic planning, effective leadership, good communication skills, self-motivated and diligence.

    • RPO Recruitment’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Company Secretary in Gauteng.

    Responsibilities:

    • Reporting to the group or company's board any failure on the part of the company or a director to comply with the Memorandum of incorporation or rules of the company or the Act (Companies Act No 71 of 2008).
    • Ensuring the minutes of all shareholders meetings, board meetings and the meetings of any committees are properly recorded in accordance with the Act.
    • Ensure that the board and committee charters and terms of reference are kept up to date.
    • Responsible for ensuring the proper compilation and timely circulation of board papers and assisting the board and committees with drafting work plans.
    • Obtain responses and feedback to specific agenda items and matters arising from earlier meetings.
    • Raise matters that may warrant the attention of the board.
    • Certifying in the company's annual financial reports whether the company has filed required returns and notice in terms of the Act and whether all such returns and notices appear to be true, correct and up to date.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Chartered Governance Institute of South Africa Company Secretary Qualification
    • LLB Degree
    • Familiar with Commission of Intellectual Property and Companies - (CIPC) Filing Procedures
    • 8 years in a Company Secretarial Role or similar senior position

As a Water Resources Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering solutions for water resources and environmental projects. With your extensive experience, you will have the opportunity to manage and lead a team of engineers and work on complex and exciting projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and design water resources and environmental projects including water supply systems, stormwater management, wastewater treatment, and environmental remediation.
    • Manage and lead a team of engineers in the development and implementation of water resources and environmental projects.
    • Coordinate and interact with clients and stakeholders to provide project updates and ensure project success.
    • Conduct site visits to evaluate project needs and develop engineering solutions.
    • Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to project team members.
    • Ensure that engineering projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in water resources and environmental engineering.
    • Professional Engineer a plus.
    • Experience in project management and leading a team of engineers.
    • Demonstrated ability to design and develop water resource and environmental projects.
    • Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
    • Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
    • Experience in AutoCAD and GIS software.
    • Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.
