    Regional Manager - Mthatha

    Purpose of the position:

    The Regional Manager will lead a dynamic team that provides direct service delivery and technical support across all aspects of the Care and Treatment (C&T) programme. The focus is to provide support and monitoring to various layers of the program including implementing staff and evaluation of health interventions. The regional manager will support and monitor implementation of Operation Phuthuma, HIV and TB clinical cascade performance to ensure integrated TB and HIV screening, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and continuity of care aimed at strengthening the health system. The incumbent will be familiar with PEPFAR (CDC) and National Department of Health initiatives in order to balance funder and NDoH priorities. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • B. Cur or equivalent degree/diploma plus MPH or equivalent qualification
    • HIV and TB clinical management
    • Financial management experience
    • Organisational QI methodology
    • Minimum of 5 years senior project/programme management level experience (preferably in the PEPFAR space)

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • dvocates for integrated TB and HIV screening, diagnosis and treatment as well as continuity of care, understanding of testing modalities such as ITS, HIVSS, SNS, community -based ART initiation and adherence to antiretroviral therapy
    • Adopts targeted screening for TB and STI amongst high-risk populations

    Community Health Worker (Counsellor) - Southern

    Purpose of the position:

    Conducts community, household and individual health assessments and identify individual health needs and risks (actual and potential). Facilitate the family or an individual to seek the appropriate health service and promote the health of the households and the individuals within these households.     Purpose of the position

    To capture incoming clinical, structural behavioural and IES related data on client rendered services from the facilities, mobile and outreach teams; maintain electronic database/s for data captured; check data correctness, completeness, consistency and verify data by liaising with relevant staff and performing routine data quality checks and assessments.

    HAST Counsellor_Chris Hani

    The purpose of the position:

    To provide HIV Testing Services to clients accessing public health services as part of IHSS support to the facilities through the district roving mentor teams in reaching their 95-95-95 targets as directed by the FPD USAID work plan and overall IHSS/NDoH strategy to reach the 95-95-95 targets.

    Enrolled Nurse (Paeds) - Chris Hani

    Purpose of the position:

    Provides clinical and administrative duties including but not limited to; supervision of case officers, linkage of clients into care, supports case management solutions for adults and pediatrics in attainment of 2nd 95 and 3rd 95. Liaise with various stakeholders, district, health facilities and other government departments.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Blood monitoring and collection as per required monitoring intervals
    • Be familiar with the ROAD TO HEALTH BOOKLET and ensure completion of all relevant section at each visit working closely with P/N
    • Align EPI visits with HIV management of children and adolescents including growth monitoring and development
    • Key entry point screening and testing of children and adolescents 0-19 years for HIV/TB/Covid-19 as per HIV Matrix of Intervention and HIV/TB/PMTCT guidelines, including Antenatal/Post-natal/Breastfeeding clients using IMCI Checklist/PATEST tool/HIV adult screening tool, handholding those tested positive and link them to care
    • Enrol all children and adolescents newly diagnosed with HIV on case management model, for continuity of care and support and facilitate decanting to Differentiated Models of care as per SOP, working closely with community teams and OVC partners
    • Provide preventative counselling for women tested HIV negative during ANC/breastfeeding/PNC and offer Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP).
    • Offer index testing services for ANC/breastfeeding/PNC partners and provide HIVSS test kits where necessary
    • Monitor child development and immunisation status of all children <5 years irrespective of HIV exposure history
    • Periodically, conduct MCH clinical file audit, to ensure effective implementation of PMTCT guidelines and effective clinical management of clients.

    • Key entry point screening and testing of children and adolescents 0-19 years for HIV/TB/Covid-19 as per HIV Matrix of Intervention and HIV/TB/PMTCT guidelines, including Antenatal/Post-natal/Breastfeeding clients using IMCI Checklist/PATEST tool/HIV adult screening tool, handholding those tested positive and link them to care
    • Enrol all children and adolescents newly diagnosed with HIV on case management model, for continuity of care and support and facilitate decanting to Differentiated Models of care as per SOP, working closely with community teams and OVC partners
    • Provide preventative counselling for women tested HIV negative during ANC/breastfeeding/PNC and offer Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP).
    • Offer index testing services for ANC/breastfeeding/PNC partners and provide HIVSS test kits where necessary
    • Monitor child development and immunisation status of all children <5 years irrespective of HIV exposure history
    • Periodically, conduct MCH clinical file audit, to ensure effective implementation of PMTCT guidelines and effective clinical management of clients.
    • Ensures that all children and adolescents 0-19 years are in optimum user-friendly formularies and regimen as per age & weight, to enhance adherence and VL suppression
    • Take VL blood as scheduled in PMTCT guidelines and enrolled all children and adolescents with VL >50 c/ml on enhanced adherence counselling (EAC), report any issues needing attention to P/N or VL champion
    • Weekly actioning of RFA list as appear on RFA dashboard/ elabs device.
    • When due refer all clients require psychosocial support, disclosure and adherence counselling to social worker via FTL/PN.
    • Facilitate decanting of eligible < 19 years clients and periodically evaluate clients due for script renewal, with assistance of FTL/PN
    • Support establishment of youth-zones and its activities to reach <19 years whom consulted on that youth-friendly corner
    • Work with social workers to establish youth clubs, Post Natal clubs, Viremia clubs and Family care days.
    • Participate in Operation Phuthuma Nerve Centre activities that contributes to MCH indicators, including MCH score card, where applicable
