    Accounts Payable Controller

    Purpose of the Job:

    • This role is responsible for the overall functioning of all responsibilities regarding the accounts payable cycle within the Company.
    • This role also assists in providing effective stewardship of Trans – Africa Projects’ financial resources, assisting in assessing and implementing all the appropriate controls needed to ensure effective and efficient accounts payable methods, practices, and procedures by the company.

    Key Performance Areas (KPA’s):
    Verification, Query Resolution, Processing and Payments.

    • Collecting invoices and statements efficiently
    • Ensure all statements are received as per creditors Age Analysis.

    Vendor, Employee Reconciliation and Reporting.

    • Conducting comprehensive reconciliations to detect and rectify disparities between vendor/employee and company records, minimizing errors, and optimizing financial processes
    • Facilitating smooth month-end closing processes and providing vital support for audits.

    Vendor Payments

    • Facilitating seamless payment cycles by meticulously preparing documentation and adhering to internal protocols and payment terms.

    Data and Compliance Management

    • Manage financial data and systems.

    Stakeholder management.

    • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matric with relevant tertiary qualifications (B Com Accounting) with 3 to 5 years experience as an Accounts Clerk/Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant, in a supervisory position.
    • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable principles (to balance sheet).
    • Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • Agresso/ZOHO system exp. (preferable).

    Other competencies and requirements:

    • Computer Literate (Microsoft Excel/Word and Accounting Programme – Agresso/SAP/ZOHO), Good planning and monitoring skills, Strong numeracy acumen (figure orientated/ excellent attention to detail.
    • Perform ad-hoc tasks.

    Senior Project Manager

    Purpose of the Job:

    • Provide Project Management Services to Trans-Africa Projects clients in line with their specific requirements ensuring adherence to set budgets scope and timelines.

    Key Performance Areas (KPA’s):

    • Manage and coordinate projects and contract delivery
    • Manage costs within provided cost allocation to manage overall project scope of work within budget
    • Ensure adherence to client professional agreement, risk management system and policies
    • Guide internal stakeholders in learning, interpretation and applying useful decision making approaches to successful delivery of progression agreements or contracts or specifications
    • Coordinate and manage project/site resources
    • Identify risks and recommend solutions
    • Support Business Development with leads for new projects and costing thereof
    • Conduct accurate project scheduling in collaboration with contractor and/or client to ensure service delivery
    • Ensure regular and appropriate communication of project progress to key stakeholders through formal reports and holding meetings
    • Monitor and track the project execution against signed-off project schedule received or agreement from the contractors or clients
    • Manage and maintain client relationships.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with at least 3 years’ experience in a Project Management environment.
    • Registration with SACPCMP. Knowledge of NEC and FIDC contracts is required.

    The candidate must demonstrate the following skills and attributes - 

    • The ability to define, scope, plan and execute projects and programmes according to project management methodologies.
    • Good communication (at all levels) and report writing, attention to detail, networking, persuasion, prospecting, research and closing skills.
    • Candidate must be prepared to travel outside South Africa.

    Financial Manager

    Purpose of the Job:

    • The Financial Manager is responsible for providing stewardship of company assets (monetary and non-monetary) by reviewing financial reports, monitoring accounts, and preparing activity reports and financial forecasts.
    • He/she implements the appropriate controls needed to ensure the profitability of the business and manages compliance of the financial function to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

    Key Performance Areas (KPA’s):

    Financial Operations management

    • Produce accurate management accounts & reports timeously.
    • Prepare and facilitate month-end processing.
    • Review stakeholder contracts and ensure that financial rights and obligations are executed efficiently.
    • Review payroll information for accuracy and sign off for processing.
    • Ensure that Project financial information is accurate.
    • Manage budgets and ensure that targets are met.

    Budget & Forecast Management

    • Review and consolidate Project Budgets to company annual budget.
    • Work with HODs to ensure that budgets are reasonable and achievable.
    • Assist support departments with preparation of budgets and forecast and ensure integrity of all information submitted.

    People Management

    • Manage all HR functions for employees in line with company policies.
    • Mentor employees and develop Personal Development Plans.

    Cashflow Management

    • Ensure that customers follow through on payments for services provided (Collections).
    • Limit major capital investments in line with known or expected revenue performance.

    Compliance

    • Perform statutory calculations, submissions, and payments on a monthly, bi-annual, and annual basis.
    • Ensure that the external audit runs smoothly.
    • Prepare Annual Financial Statements and submit to relevant stakeholders timeously after sign-off.
    • Monitor BBBEE compliance and the submission of information.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 3 Year Bachelor’s Degree in accounting / 4 Year post Graduate Diploma.

    Other competencies and requirements:

    • Attention to detail.
    • Problem- Solving & Accountability.
    • Completed Articles.
    • 3-4 years financial management and/or related experience.
    • At least 2 years managing a team and coordinating activities of others (matrix environment).
