    FSSC Cost Accountant x2

    Job Description

    Role Purpose

    • To develop the product cost accounting business system and services that will inform financial and business decisions, enable analysis and forecasting, and inform business and operational decisions.
    • To direct, guide and coordinate costing and information development processes and appropriate systems in close cooperation with business, GIT and other analytical functions notably in Sales & Marketing, Production & Quality, and Procurement.

    Management & Cost Accounting System (incl. Policies & Procedures)

    • Responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly preliminary standard costings.
    • Review and monitor key materials moving average prices daily and inform business teams of major variances or issues.
    • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies and material variances
    • Prepare, run and update monthly standard costing in SAP ERP post business sign off
    • Conduct monthly CO Assessment cycle process.
    • Review and upload monthly transfer pricing.
    • Review and upload monthly customer sales pricing
    • Update customer prices on ad hoc basis
    • Review and upload ad hoc SAP Lon View/Forecasts
    • Review and upload annual SAP budget templates
    • Assisting in month-end and year-end closing of SAP Controlling module
    • Responsible for creation and change of material master data, bills of materials and routings as requested by business
    • Assist Plant Accountants with variances on Production Orders.
    • Assist Plant Accountants with review of routings and activity rates to increase accuracy of product costs.
    • Track and maintain standard cost compared to actual cost.
    • Assist business with product and unit cost controlling.
    • Performing cost variance analyses
    • Recommending changes to processes to reduce cost and maximize profit
    • Monthly reconciliations and analysis of stock financial accounts
    • Review and update Costing processes and SOP’s

    Internal and external controls

    • Assist with controls, procedures and supporting documentation for the audit process and enforcing controls
    • Assist with requested documentation and reports for the internal/ external auditor
    • Assist with resolving audit queries internal/ external auditor where required

    Customer and Stakeholder Accountabilities

    • Develops and maintains good stakeholder relationships (internally, retained organization)
    • Identifies trends and opportunities and communicates or escalate as required and appropriate
    • The FSSC Cost Accountant may be required to work additional hours over the month end period.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • A bachelor’s degree in management and cost accounting, CIMA or equivalent
    • 3 – 5 years’ experience in product costing
    • Manufacturing Industry (advantageous)
    • A high degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite – especially MS Excel and Word
    • Ability to understand and apply financial policies, procedures, and processes specific to the company
    • Sound knowledge of an ERP system, preferably SAP Controlling module
    • Good business acumen

    EHS Manager: Manufacturing

    Job Description

    • Purpose of the job To develop effective SHE risk management and drive continuous improvement towards Zero Harm.
    • To execute Group and business SHE strategy and drive commitment to Responsible Care principles.
    • To provide assurance on SHE compliance.

    Required outputs: Functional

    • EHS
    • Implement and execute group and business strategy at site level
    • Assist site management in the development and tracking of the EHS objectives and targets
    • Drive closure of non-conformances, corrective and preventative actions identified through risk assessments, audits etc.
    • Provide input into the EHS budget and spend for the site
    • Drive Process Safety Implementation for the site.
    • Custodian for Data and Systems management for AECI Water

    Compliance

    • Conduct site audits or inspections for suppliers and customers
    • Influence business leadership on SHE matters
    • Ensure that the AECI EHS Risk Management process are followed.
    • Implement, Monitor and improve critical controls to improve site risk exposure
    • Provide assurance of EHS at workplace and legal compliance
    • Participate in internal and external audits for the site (e.g. ISO 45001, PSM, SANS 1827/8, ISO 9001, legal compliance and 14001, etc…)
    • Monitoring and reporting Site EHS performance on regular basis
    • Plan and monitor EHS training for site personnel
    • Ensure that Licence conditions are adhered to at all times
    • Ensure that all reports / reporting are completed and submitted to authorities as per the licence conditions.
    • Conduct Supplier, contractor and Customer audits as required
    • Implement Responsible Care for the site

    EHS Process/procedures

    • Ensuring that risk studies are conducted prior to approval of MoCs
    • Develop, maintain EHS site procedures
    • Ensure that AECI EHS standards are implemented on site

    Collaboration

    • Collaboration with all at AECI Water (inter-company)

    Qualifications & Experience

    • 4 Year Bachelors Degree or Advanced Diploma (safety, environmental, engineering or equivalent)
    • >8 Years experience in Chemical manfucturing plant with EHS background
    • >5 years experience in a management role

    Senior Production and Quality Assurance Coordinator

    Job Description

    • Purpose of the job: Oversees and drives quality assurance initiatives to ensure the highest standards of product or service quality.
    • This role involves developing and implementing quality management systems, leading internal audits, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation.

    Required outputs: Functional

    • Develop and implement quality management systems, processes, techniques and tools for manufacturing and internal logistics operations in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
    • Ongoing innovation and improvement of processes to meet customer needs and business tactics
    • Observes regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards

    • Internal & Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001)
    • Appropriate ISO Quality qualification and accreditation or quality engineering background
    • Proven track record of implementing, maintaining, and improving Quality management in a manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge and use of Operational Excellence tools, processes and systems will be an advantage
    • Proven capabilities in ISO9001 maintenance & certification
    • High proficiency in the use of problem-solving tools with proven ability to lead and investigate internal & external complaints and / or develop opportunity business cases to improve quality
    • Any other relevant technology degree will be added as an essential advantage
    • Postgraduate qualification (advantageous)
