    Property Valuator

    What the day will look like

    • Identifying Opportunities to provide primarily, Insurance New Replacement Asset valuation services for our Retail Property Clients across:
    • Plant & Machinery
    • Land & Improvements
    • As above but for Acquisitions, Market Value and or Scrap value on same basis 
    • Compile / Interrogate and update Fixed Asset Registers
    • Prepare formal Scope of Works, outlying objectives, process and time frames.
    • Develop consistent approaches to the delivery of valuation services to existing and prospective clients.
    • Adhere to all established standard operating procedures and maintain accurate records for each project while keeping within assigned budgets.
    • Generate new and expanded business opportunities and contribute to the development of the capabilities, direction and profile of the practice.
    • Perform a range of valuation related services according to needs
    • Liaise with Aon Consulting Risk engineers in quantifying property Damage values for the loss property damage loss scenarios and calculations: advising on lead times, and possible alternatives as may present
    • Engineering - evaluation of condition of equipment on Market and Scrap Value requests.
    • Additional Services – Identifying Delivering Aon Untied Opportunities.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    • Be in possession of Grade 12 (Matric).
    • Be in a possession of a formal tertiary qualification in Property Engineering or related field.
    • Be in possession of SACPVP / MRICS / RIVS / ASA
    • Have a graduate qualification in property valuations.
    • Have a minimum of five years related experience.
    • Knowledge of property standards in industries
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Be dependable and respect confidentiality.
    • Have a high work ethic and must have the ability to function effectively under pressure.
    • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and work to strict deadlines.
    • Be a great teammate, have the ability to build good relationships, support and actively participate in, and contribute to any team initiatives.
    • Individual with knowledge of the principles and practices within a technical / professional subject area.
    • Possesses sophisticated analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities.
    • Usage of automated tools and computer technology.
    • Possess competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
    • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Must be prepared to travel locally and internationally – must have driver’s licence and own transport.

    Broker Support Administrator

    What the day will look like

    • Produce final reinsurance documentation to confirm coverage to clients.
    • Prepare market submissions, presentations, renewal proposals, obtain quotations for cover from the market, as required.
    • Effect amendments on contracts, issue endorsements, prepare cover slips and cover notes / cover letters to Clients.
    • Take ownership and initiative in resolving queries and problems efficiently.
    • Process clients’ contracts and documentation on GRiDS system.
    • Liaise with internal teams to follow up on invoicing, premium payments, outstanding slips from Reinsurers etc.
    • Assist in respect of claims queries as required.
    • Submit contract documentation directly to clients and make necessary follow ups on outstanding documentation including TOBA / CSA etc
    • Final check of reinsurance documentation to ensure that it meets internal and Industry requirements and regulatory standards.
    • Build positive relationships with clients and reinsurers.
    • Responsible for engaging in business development and/or contributing directly or indirectly to all business development efforts in Aon South Africa.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    Qualifications.

    • Grade 12 (matric).
    • An appropriate NQF level 4 FAIS/short-term insurance qualification.
    • Be FAIS compliant in commercial lines short-term insurance.
    • Preferably a relevant bachelor’s degree in insurance and risk management.
    • First level regulatory examination for representatives.

    Knowledge.

    • Have a sound knowledge in respect of reinsurance.

    Skills and Attributes.

    • Well-developed social skills.
    • Well-developed analytical skills.
    • Well-developed communication skills. (Written and spoken).
    • Proven track record to work with and in teams.
    • Computer literacy with advanced experience in MS Word and Excel.

    Experience.

    • Have 3 to 5 years’ experience relevant reinsurance experience.
