    Digital Marketing Specialist

    Responsible for the development and execution of marketing communications and digital content that support the objectives of the Aspen brands. This includes web content, search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO). This position reports to the Strategic Business Lead and will be responsible for planning, creating, and executing cost effective digital marketing programs and communications that drive sales and support the customer journey. Support the Brand to achieve its digital goals, understanding the online channel and how to use that channel to reach its target audience. Keep up to date with new opportunities and new thinking, to ensure that the business remains relevant.

    Job Purpose:

    • Overall responsibility for the management of/development and execution of all Digital Marketing activities within the Strategic Business Division supporting the Aspen Pharma Marketing team.
    • Create successful and influential Digital marketing content in consultation and guidance from the Brand Managers/BUH
    • Find digital routes to market for new and existing brands in line with the commercial objectives
    • Incorporate strong marketing goals and objectives to place several strategies in place to grow the business using Digital Marketing initiatives.
    • Be responsible for the planning, co-ordinating and implementing all the internal and external marketing communication needs of the business.
    • Design digital media campaigns according to business goals
    • Coordinate and manage the creation of all digital content such as website, blogs, infographics, videos etc.
    • Establish our web and social media presence
    • Work to improve our brand presence
    • Maintain and manage all our social media channels
    • Develop and monitor ROI and KPIs
    • Stay up-to-date with digital media technologies and latest trends

    Main Accountabilities:

    Digital Marketing:

    • Create, execute, optimise and maintain all digital marketing efforts including social media, email campaigns, and other online mechanisms in line with go-to-market strategies.
    • Create digital opportunities for new and existing brands and find digital routes to market for these brands in line with commercial objectives
    • Track impact of digital campaigns and channel effectiveness in line with route to market objectives
    • Technically and operationally raise awareness of Aspen’s product information by increasing brand traffic to influence HCP decision making on brands being top of mind.
    • Create lead generating Digital Marketing campaigns based on customer insights such as the Buyer Journey for Business Units.
    • Achieve measurable results and establish an online presence
    • Responsible for all aspects of the Pharma Business Units, Digital Marketing in support of the business objectives and priorities.
    • Test and optimise new and innovative ways to digitally reach the organization’s external audiences.
    • Manage the execution of all Digital Marketing campaigns.
    • Develop insightful, creative and effective strategies and tactics to ensure an effective online presence consistent with brand guidelines.
    • Lead Digital Marketing and communication strategies that build/contribute to brand awareness to increase customer engagement as well as sales.
    • Together with the Brand Management team, analyse usage trends to improve and/or add functionality to the digital channels
    • Investigate new technology and enhancements to increase revenue, brand awareness and improve overall customer experience.

    Communications:

    To work with the Communications Lead and management team to provide communications support in line with the company's communication’s frameworks and strategies by:

    • Providing communications advice and support to the Communications Lead and management team.
    • Developing internal communications strategy and communications calendar in line with key business imperatives.
    • Put measurements in place to test effectiveness of communication programmes and host annual communications audit.
    • Manage the media library and updating of company information and company product information.

    Requirements

    Competencies/Skills:

    • Extensive experience and technical understanding across a wide range of digital marketing disciplines - including media, social, web, mobile, search, content, eCRM and data management
    • Written and verbal communication skills, including copy writing that is free of grammar and punctuation errors.
    • Strong analytical and strategic skills.
    • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships at all organisation levels.
    • Proven ability to work on numerous projects concurrently while achieving results and meeting deadlines with a positive attitude and professional demeanour.
    • Develop comprehensive plans to critically analyse the results of the Digital Marketing campaigns.
    • Demonstrate effective communication and listening skills, with ability to translate key messages across all levels at customers and within the organization.
    • Expertise in presenting to and reading all types of audiences – both external and internal customers.
    • Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office Suite.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matric
    • Degree or Diploma in either Digital Marketing, Multi-Media or Communications.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar digital marketing role (or related role)
    • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, trends, strategies and best practices
    • Demonstrated experience defining and adjusting digital marketing plans and/or strategies based on analytic results
    • Good knowledge of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Audacity or other media editing software
    • Experience with visual communication methods
    • Knowledge of web design
    • Experience with content management
    • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success

    Communications and Engagement Lead

    Responsible for scoping, facilitation and planning for Communication and Engagement activities (both key Internal and External). Working closely with the Leadership Team and senior business leaders to develop campaigns and messaging platforms

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Communications

    • Manage the implementation of internal and external communication campaigns and plans
    • Development and implementation of communication plans, programs and content to support marketing and business development in line with key business imperatives.
    • Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build customer loyalty programs, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction.
    • Create communication and marketing strategies for new products, launches, events, and promotions.
    • Draft and disseminate Executive and HOD communications as required
    • Manage updates to the design and content on the corporate intranet
    • Contribute in the communications decision-making processes, based on best practices, Industry standards and prevailing policies and procedures
    • Contribute towards enhancement of policies and procedures on an ongoing basis
    • Drive communication plans for change management projects and interventions
    • Oversee the implementation and delivery of communication products for internal and external projects
    • Perform quality checks on all communication prior to distribution
    • Oversee the development and monitoring of content for social media
    • Management of internal Communications that includes but are not limited to:
    • ?  ExCo Emails
    • ?  Group memos
    • ?  Group newsflash
    • Draft content by facilitating interviews with relevant stakeholders and compiling compelling content
    • Maintain activity calendars, task lists and action items for the delivery of communication products and report on progress
    • Generate business writing as required

     

    Contact Centre

    • Initiate, develop, implement and evaluate operational strategies, projects and action plans in order to improve the effectiveness of the Contact Centre
    • Monitor and measure performance and apply continuous or innovative improvement interventions in the unit
    • Build relationships with superiors and with stakeholders across the value chain
    • Apply the principles of risk, financial and knowledge management and business ethics within internal and external regulatory frameworks
    • Enhance the development of team and team members

     

    Event Management

    • Directs and oversees the planning of Internal meetings (i.e. annual Sales Conference, Cycle Meeting etc.) and special events for Aspen (i.e. Clicks Meeting)
    • Coordinates all amenities, accommodations, and related departments including site selection, staffs, food, transportation, and audio or visual equipment
    • Monitors and controls event budgets and negotiates all necessary contracts

     

    Organizational Change Management (OCM)

    • Develop an OCM communication plan and roadmap to improve adoption of new systems and platforms
    • Manage development and execution of communications materials, draft email announcements, design promotional materials
    • Support the project team to develop stakeholder/partner outreach and engagement efforts to obtain awareness, understanding, buy-in and support
    • Work with multiple team members to recommend, develop and implement OCM strategies
    • Support the design, development, implementation and revision of project plans, and adhere to established timelines

     

    Engagement

    • Assist in strategy for e-Learning
    • Establish Learning Architecture
    • Supervise overall e-Learning process, including: design, production, delivery, evaluation, budgeting, staffing, and scheduling
    • Work with coordinators of various e-Learning teams
    • Define project staff, technical requirements, features and functions

    • At least 5 years' experience working at a digital / media agency or directly managing such a relationship as a brand client
