    Assistant Management Accountant

    Job Specification:
    Key Performance Areas:

    Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    Compile and review (once automation is complete) the following reports on a monthly basis:

    • CTF Vessel Income statement
    • Detailed vessel cost analysis
    • Shore Overheads
    • Cost recoveries
    • Stock adjustments / write offs
    • Provide meaningful analysis of abovementioned reports to Financial Manager
    • Prepare ad hoc reports to support audit, operations or strategic decision-making

    Financial Checks, Controls & Reconciliations:

    • Review and improve key cost reconciliation to ensure high level of accuracy
    • Perform the following reviews on a monthly basis to ensure high level of accuracy
    • Fish landed reconciliations
    • Packaging count and reconciliations:
    • Fuel usage and reconciliations
    • Vessel cost vs plan and prior
    • Cost center allocations

    Month End Activities:
    Perform the following month end financial processing activities within the given timelines:

    • Calculate specific expense accruals and park postings in SAP
    • Calculate shore based overhead allocation and ensure reporting reflects allocation correctly
    • Prepare monthly reporting pack, with the view to eventually automate

    Budget and Forecast Processes:

    • Understand key cost and business drivers to ensure high level of accuracy in the forecasting process.
    • Co-ordinate with planning and operations teams to ensure inputs received is accurate and complete.
    • Upload budget and forecast into SAP with the view of automating process.

    Minimum Requirements:
    Experience:

    • Minimum 2 – 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar environment 

    Qualifications:

    • B.Comm Degree in Accounting or Finance is essential
    • CIMA or ACCA or studying towards

    Additional requirements:

    • Proficient in Excel, MS Office and SAP

    Group Reporting and Financial Accountant

    Job Specification:

    Monthly reporting and accounting:

    • Preparation of all consolidation monthly entries
    • Prepare the monthly early estimation documents and income statements
    • Prepare the full month-end reporting pack with all relevant workings and support
    • Assist with answering queries on monthly results and reports
    • Preparation of loadshedding schedules
    • Preparation of any additional monthly reports

    Quarterly reporting and accounting:

    • Preparation of all consolidation quarterly entries
    • Preparation of all additional quarterly reports
    • Assist with answering queries on quarterly results 

    Year-end reporting and accounting:

    • Preparation of any additional year-end accounting entries required for group and consolidation
    • Preparation of year-end reporting pack with comparatives and additional disclosures
    • Preparation of additional reporting requirements for year end
    • Assist with answering queries on yearly results

    Dividends:

    • Solvency and liquidity work papers
    • Accounting entries and arranging for payments
    • Assist with declarations to SARS
    • Any ad hoc requests / schedules / queries from AVI or internally
    • Continuous maintenance and improvement of templates and standard operating procedures.
    • Ad-hoc Finance related assistance on various projects that arise in the ordinary course of business to be dealt with effectively and promptly – Assisting all business units across the Group.
    • Assist with deregistration's of entities and accounting work

    Audits:

    • Assist with external audit requests and process
    • Assist with internal audit requests and requirements
    • Assist with Information for BBEEE audits
    • Preparation of representation letters and additional questionnaires

    Forecast and budget process:

    • Quarterly and yearly budget process and full pack preparations & supporting work papers 

    Annual Financial Statements:

    • Preparation of all entities’ AFS on Draftworx with supporting documentation
    • To address all review notes internally (from FM and FD), and from auditors & AVI
    • Preparation of related party schedules and support
    • Assist with all finalization documentation
    • Calculate PIS scores for each entity and report to company secretary
    • Conversions of AFS in Draftworx to XBRL format 

    Board packs:

    • Assist in preparation of work papers, support and presentation slides
    • Sagers submissions and support to assist with
    • STATS SA submissions and questionnaires to complete

    Direct and indirect taxes:

    • Assist Tax accountant in busy times with tax and deferred taxes (especially half year-end, year end, and provisional taxes with tight deadlines)
    • Back-up for full Tax accountant position when needed

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:

    • SAIPA or SAICA articles with 3 – 5 years post-article experience in a reporting / financial accountant role
    • Or 5 – 8 years overall experience in Group Reporting and Financial Accounting for a listed company 

    Qualifications:

    • BCom Accounting Degree at a University (must have majored in Accounting)
    • CA (SA) would be advantageous

    HR Reporting / Payroll Data Analyst

    Key Performance Areas:

    Statutory Reporting

    • Manage the preparation and consolidation process for each Site’s Employment Equity submission. Finalise and submit to the Department of Labour by the specified deadline.
    • Populate, employment equity, skills development and training spend information for all business units for submission of the BBBEE report.
    • Prepares information for annual training reports (ATR) and headcounts for skills planning processes (WSP). Format spreadsheets to enable L&D to submit to the SETA by relevant deadline
    • Manage quarterly submission to Stats SA for all Business Units
    • Provide data and analysis for additional Head Office statutory reporting
    • Monitor master data specific to statutory reports

    Information Analysis

    • Monitor integrity of data and highlight any inconsistencies and/or areas of improvement
    • Identify master data irregularities and report accordingly
    • Identify and look at ways of improved reporting resulting from master data processes
    • Ongoing change impact analysis is required to ensure current report set remains relevant
    • Adhere to agreed / set stats re data management (e.g. naming standards and storing of files etc.)
    • Reports are timeously distributed

    Information Delivery

    • Specify design of new and sustainable reports according to business needs and requirements
    • Controlling the delivery of information to Business Units timeously and accurately
    • Continuous review of current reporting offering to ensure relevance to business and decision making requirements
    • Manage and deliver additional reporting requirements as and when required by business in line with current offering and availability
    • Relevant distribution and protection of reporting and related content using agreed principles of distribution levels/lists and authorisation control
    • Provide training costs report to L&D on a monthly basis
    • Extract reports for Month-end reporting (headcount, monthly transaction, payroll breakdown, etc.)
    • Extract, validate and provide monthly Leave and Bonus provisions to Financial Shared Services and distribute to site Human Resources Management and Financial Directors
    • Manage queries on Leave and Bonus Provision from the Finance community.
    • Delivery of information to Business Units timeously and accurately in the form of monthly reports and spreadsheets
    • Extract base information from various sources to ensure data accuracy e.g. Wagetype Reporter, VIP Monthly Reports, BI HR Tabular Model

    Projects

    • Test new developments on SAP database in partnership with ITSS
    • Extrapolate data and create meaningful analysis and/or reports as required by business units
    • Be innovative in the presentation of reports within the parameters of existing standards and rules 

    BI Reporting needs analysis

    • Liaise with Business Units regarding reporting needs
    • Liaise with ITSS regarding new reports that need to be created
    • UAT Testing of new reports
    • Manage list of users to have access to the HR reports, communicate with Authorisations on removing and adding users to user groups

    Annual Processes

    • Ensure that all Rem Com requirements and deadlines are met in accordance to the annual Rem-Com meetings timetable. 

    Communication

    • Improve communication between HR Admin and business units by actively engaging with business on all HR Admin matters including annual processes as well as process related changes and enhancements

    Master Data Verification

    • Plan, Manage and deliver on the ongoing and annual requirement for SAP master-data verifications. This will be done in conjunction with and the support of the HR Admin Systems team, payroll and Benefits.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:                                                                   

    • 3 - 5 years of SAP Payroll / HCM experience
    • Payroll Data Reporting experience
    • Proficient in MS Office
    • Advanced MS Excel knowledge
    • An understanding of Income Tax, BCEA, EE, BBBEE, POPI Acts and related legislation
    • SAP experience 

    Qualifications:

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Diploma in Accounting or Information Systems
    • BCom Accounting (Advantageous)

    Laboratory Supervisor

     Duties include:

    • To implement and maintain the running of the laboratory as per the ISO 17025 standard.
    • To carry out statistical analysis of captured data, providing value-adding opportunities for improvement in the Laboratory and factory environment.
    • To carry out physical and chemical analysis as required on standard and non-standard raw and packaging materials.
    • To perform all quality/ hygiene-related duties in accordance with the laid down Quality Assurance Management System.
    • To ensure that the Laboratory equipment is fully functional and calibrated.
    • To ensure that the highest quality products are produced through regular checks on packaging against pre-determined standards.
    • To liaise with suppliers on the rejection and upliftment of any non-conforming materials.
    • To supervise staff in the Laboratory.

     Experience:

    • At least 5 years’ experience gained in a supervisory capacity in the Quality/ Laboratory field
    • Food industry experience essential

    Qualifications:

    • A completed tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Food Science or Analytical Chemistry

    Knowledge:

    • SAP proficiency essential
    • Statistical analysis ability essential
    • Knowledge of ISO 17025 required
    • AIB and FSSC 22000 v 6 knowledge is beneficial

    Maintenance Planner

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Planning maintenance activities and co-ordination of maintenance activities including annual shutdown and daily adhoc work.
    • Analyse machinery and component life cycles by identifying failure trends.
    • Verifying integrity of data captured by artisans on a daily basis.
    • Updating job cards and maintenance schedules based on OEM manuals and historical performance.
    • Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work.
    • Manage preventative and predictive maintenance strategies, which will include condition monitoring and other practices.
    • Monitor job completion rates and report trends to the Engineering management team.
    • CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) – implementation, optimization and management of the Shopware Asset Care system.

    • Ensure ongoing communication with Engineering Foremen, Production Managers and Production Planner.
    • Work closely with engineering stores personnel to control spares and stock levels.
    • Projects – work closely with the project team to ensure efficient delivery of tasks involving engineering input

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:                                                                   

    • At least 8 years' experience in maintenance planning gained within the FMCG or Manufacturing environment.
    • Experience in a high-speed packaging environment advantageous.

    Qualifications:

    • Completed a trade test as a Fitter, Millwright or Electrical with a recognized institution ideal.
    • National Diploma/B.Tech or equivalent qualification in Mechanical- or Electrical Engineering (N6/T3/S4).

    Additional Requirements:

    • Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) e.g. SAP, Shopware and/or Pragma experience.
    • Experience with CMMS preferably Pragma ‘On Key”, will be a distinct advantage.
    • Knowledge of TPM and RCM concepts and principles.
    • Knowledge of MS Projects and MS Excel.

    Millwright - Packaging

    Job Specification:

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Carry out maintenance, repair and fault finding tasks to ensure machine availability for production to reach targets
    • Maintain pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment on machinery.
    • Perform electrical and mechanical planned maintenance Installation and repair of all machinery.
    • Set timing, cams and limits on equipment as per manufacturers’ specifications.
    • Investigate root causes of plant failures.
    • Support with project implementation.
    • Communicate downtime data to the Engineering Foreman and ensure downtime targets are met.
    • Work with VFFS packaging machinery, food processing equipment, conveyers, Multi-head weighers, Bosch Flow and roll wrap machines, CAMA Case packing, Cermex, Cam, Klik-klock, robotic palletisers and general factory equipment.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience:                                                                   

    • At least 5 years’ experience as a Millwright in high-speed packaging machines and plant equipment maintenance and repairs required within a FMCG environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Trade tested as a Millwright at an accredited training facility
    • Completed Mechanical / Electrical Engineering qualification or minimum N4 qualification
