    Registered Nurse -Modderfontein

    Summary

    • The Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies. The objective of this position is to act as a clinical resource and leader in this speciality, performing functions at an advanced level of competence and consistence. Sound and contemporary knowledge of the area of speciality, together with an advanced understanding of professional nursing, health care delivery and programme planning, will allow the incumbent to fulfil his/her primary responsibilities and promoting quality patient care.

    Requirements

    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
    • Relevant qualification within a specialist area will be advantageous

    Work Experience

    Chief People Officer

    Requirements

    • An Honours or Master's degree (e.g. MBA, MCom, MA in HR/IOP) is strongly preferred
    • Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g. SABPP) advantageous
    • Minimum 10 years' progressive HR leadership experience
    • Demonstrated experience operating within a highly regulated environment; private healthcare, hospital groups, pharmaceuticals, or medical services experience strongly preferred
    • Sound working knowledge of South African labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, Skills Development Act) and experience engaging with the CCMA and Bargaining Councils
    • Experience managing HR within a unionised and/or clinical/professional workforce environment advantageous

    Work Experience

    • Proven track record of operating at Executive Committee / Board level, with strong commercial and business acumen
    • Broad generalist HR expertise across talent, reward, employee relations, organisational design, and culture

    Knowledge

    Radiotherapist x2

    Summary

    • The incumbent will be responsible for rendering a quality clinical radiotherapy service, which is effective and efficient

    Requirements

    • Registration with HPCSA as Radiographer
    • National Diploma in Radiotherapy
    • Computer Literacy essential

    Work Experience

    • Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in the same or similar position
    • Planning experience would be advantageous

    Knowledge

    • Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
    • Display professional conduct essential to the well-being of the radiation oncology patient
    • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills in the clinical setting
    • Maintain accurate and detailed treatment chart documentation
    • Observe the clinical progress of the radiation oncology patient, use clinical decisionmaking skills to recognize and report any signs of complications
    • Utilize treatment accessories to accurately reproduce the radiation treatment
    • Adhere to radiation safety procedure protocol (ALARA) principle
    • Safely and effectively operate a variety of computerized equipment and report abnormalities or inconsistencies to the proper authority

    • Check treatment plans produced are of a high quality, with the lowest possible dose to normal tissue
    • Check manual or computerized dose calculations and apply tolerance dose limitations to plans
    • Verify and check prepared files and planned data before treatment commences
    • Check entered patient data on the verification system

    Clinical Facilitator

    Summary

    • The incumbent will be responsible for the clinical facilitation of optimal learning opportunities, the facilitation of clinical knowledge and skill development of our nursing staff in the clinical areas. The incumbent will enhance patient outcome through the assessment of nursing care standards, through the planning and implementation of appropriate education and professional competency development and with ongoing audit and evaluation of standards of care and quality indicators.     • Comply with all BCA and Quality initiatives whilst ensuring alignment with Busamed strategic plan.
    • Implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation
    • Identify ethical and legal aspects of nursing practice in the clinical setting
    • Participate in the implementation of OHSC audits and NHN quality standards and other Busamed quality improvement initiatives

    Requirements

    • Registered as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council or Registered Nurse with equivalent NQF 7 in speciality area
    • Appropriate qualification in Education

    • Assesor and moderator trained would be highly advantageous

    Work Experience

    • At least 4 years in a hospital environment.
    • It will be advantageous to have at least 2 years in a clinical facilitator/learning and development role
