    Senior Manager: Service Centre

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 Certificate.
    • Bachelor’s degree in public administration / B-Tech in Public Management or Relevant degree.
    • A wide knowledge of municipal governance.
    • Certificate in municipal governance will be an added advantage.
    • A sound understanding of municipal operational systems and Integrated Development Plan (IDP)
    • More than eight (8) years’ experience of which 3 years should be at managerial level
    • Understanding relevant laws in local government.
    • Effective multidisciplinary management skills
    • Excellent communication and networking skills
    • A valid driver’s license

    Key Performance Areas:

    Reporting to Municipal Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the following functions:

    • Provide strategic advice and guidance to the service centre managers to ensure high performance and achievement of departmental goals.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance service delivery at the service centres.
    • Oversee the daily operations of services centres including the handling of customer inquiries and resolving escalated issues in timely and professional manner.
    • To respond to service centres customer enquiries.
    • To champion the revenue collection at service centres and oversee the performance of all centre managers.
    • Monitor and assess the response time and customer satisfaction and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Direct and supervise the work of service centre managers.
    • Supporting the accounting officer with alignment of service centre functionality and municipal goals.

    Service Centre Manager

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 Certificate.
    • Bachelor’s degree in public administration /B-Tech in Public Management or Relevant degree.
    • A sound understanding of municipal operational systems and Integrated Development Plan (IDP)
    • Eight (8) years’ experience of which two (2) years must be at supervisory level.
    • Understanding relevant laws in local government.

    Key Performance Areas:

    Reporting to Senior Manager: Service Centre, the incumbent will be responsible for the following functions:

    • Act as a critical link between the municipal administration and the public.
    • Ensuring that the community needs are met in line with the municipal Integrated Development Plan (IDP)
    • Managing the day-to-day activities of the service Centre to ensure a smooth, efficient and customer-focused environment.
    • Ability to manage daily operations.
    • Manage financial, human and information resources of the service Centre
    • Collecting and monitoring revenue payment for services rendered
    • Control and maintain assets including property, plant and equipment within the Service Centre
    • Implementation of council resolutions
    • Responsiveness to public complaints and suggestions
    • Project monitoring within the service Centre

    MPAC Researcher

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 Certificate
    • National Diploma in Financial Management/Accounting/internal audit or equivalent qualification.
    • Three (3)-Five (5) years’ relevant experience in municipal governance.
    • Understanding of MFMA legislation
    • Sound knowledge of council matters or operations
    • A valid driver’s license

    Key Performance Areas:

    Reporting to the Manager of Office of the speaker, the incumbent will be responsible for the following functions:

    • Review and analyses financial reports, performance reports, annual reports and Auditor General reports to identify risk and irregularities.
    • Investigate unauthorized, irregular or fruitless and wasteful expenditure as assigned by the council.
    • Compile detailed research reports, oversight reports and recommendations based on findings to be tabled to thecouncil.
    • Create annual MPAC programmes.
    • Maintain accurate records and prepare for committee, hearings or stakeholder interview.
    • Facilitate communication between MPAC and other municipal departments, Internal auditors or the public.
    • Evaluate the functionality of MPAC against other municipalities to improve efficiency.

    Electrical Technician

    Minimum Requirements       

    • Grade 12 Certificate.
    • Diploma in Electrical  Engineering
    • Electrician trade test certificate
    • Three (3) –Five (5) years’ relevant experience 
    • A valid code  8 driver’s license.
    • Interpersonal skills    
    • Ability to work under pressure 

    Key Performance Areas:

    Reporting to the Electrical & Mechanical Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the following functions:

    • To install, inspect, maintain and repairs electrical infrastructure.
    • Respond to power outages and emergencies callouts to restore services promptly.
    • Identify and   mitigate safety hazards and ensure all work complies with electrical codes and standards.
    • Installing lighting, wiring and security systems in municipal buildings include specialized facilities. 
    • Providing technical support services for electrical contractors.
    • Coordinate with the services provider for installation of high mast lights.
    • Servicing and maintaining traffic lights.
    • Ensure that the electrical network in the municipal buildings complies with the Occupational  Health and Safety Act
