    Assistant Chief Fire Officer - (Operations)

    Requirements

    • A relevant tertiary qualification, namely, four (4) years Tertiary Diploma in Fire Technology, National Diploma in Fire Technology
    • Relevant management experience
    • Eight years relevant experience commensurate with the requirements of the position, including budget preparation, management of staff and other administration functions
    • Computer Literacy
    • A valid driver’s license
    • No criminal record

    Key Performance Areas

    • Manage, lead, co-ordinate and monitor firefighting and rescue operations.
    • Directs and controls the Key Performance Indicator’s and outcomes of personnel within the District/Section.
    • Manage, monitor and control budgets (capital and operating) for the District/Section.
    • Manage and control Occupational Health and safety legislation within the District/Section.
    • Managing training and skills development and the transfer of skills and knowledge in the District/Section.
    • Manages the use of technology in the District/Section.
