A relevant tertiary qualification, namely, four (4) years Tertiary Diploma in Fire Technology, National Diploma in Fire Technology
Relevant management experience
Eight years relevant experience commensurate with the requirements of the position, including budget preparation, management of staff and other administration functions
Computer Literacy
A valid driver’s license
No criminal record
Key Performance Areas
Manage, lead, co-ordinate and monitor firefighting and rescue operations.
Directs and controls the Key Performance Indicator’s and outcomes of personnel within the District/Section.
Manage, monitor and control budgets (capital and operating) for the District/Section.
Manage and control Occupational Health and safety legislation within the District/Section.
Managing training and skills development and the transfer of skills and knowledge in the District/Section.
Manages the use of technology in the District/Section.
