KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To manage and implement platform projects from conceptual phase to implementation.
• To design products/mold and/or make improvements/changes to existing products/components in line with market requirements and trends.
• Use 3d drawing software for analyses and approval of international mold design.
• To manage and implement cost reduction/quality improvement projects.
• To manage the productivity improvement (OEE improvement).
• To ensure products comply to standard requirements.
• Identify opportunities for improvement at both molding facilities.
•  Implement spare part holding and service intervals for Critical molds.
•  Improve OEE of plastic injection department as calculated by Promanage software.
•  Productivity improvement in Plastic injection department.
•  Support Lead Engineer- Plastics.
•  Develop improvement ideas for submission of Capital funding.
• Identify opportunities for improvement at both moulding facilities.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 – 8 year’s experience within Manufacturing.
• Experience in 2D & 3D CAD drawing and modelling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Project management proficiency.
• Knowledge in various plastic forming technologies preferred.
• A good understanding of plastic part mold design and plastic part production process would also be advantageous.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Achieving the branch spares sales budget.
• Ensuring tele-selling to customers.
• Process picking list for sales orders.
• Pick and pack spares.
• Capture sales orders on SAP computer system.
• Maintaining and following up on customer backorders.
• Attend to customer queries and complaints.
• Assist Technicians with spares related enquiries
• Monitor outstanding orders daily, liaise with warehouse and buyers.
• Stock control, including cycle counting, receiving, ordering and dispatching stock are all included in the responsibilities.
• Assist in document filing.
• Provide support to service department.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• The ideal applicant will be a matriculant who is fully conversant with the Defy range of spares.
• Good technical parts interpretation.
• General office and administration skills along with computer literacy (Excel and Word).
• Telephone etiquette.
• Working knowledge of SAP will be a distinct advantage.
