    Site Controller(Cape Town) (Airport Industria)

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    • The Site Controller oversees essential site operations—including utilities, maintenance, security, access control, fire safety, and cost management—ensuring smooth, safe, and compliant functioning.
    • The role also ensures adherence to health, food safety, and hygiene standards, safeguarding employee welfare and product integrity while maintaining legal and certification compliance.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Facilities & Utilities Management

    • Refrigeration (Plant Room): Maintain optimal temperature control for stored goods.
    • Power Supply: Monitor on-site electricity and generators to ensure uninterrupted operations.
    • Water Supply: Oversee water systems (tanks, pumps, distribution) for reliable supply.

    Site Operations & Maintenance

    • Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness, repairs, and upkeep of warehouse, yard, and offices.
    • Security: Manage access control, surveillance, and armed response coordination.
    • CCTV Systems: Maintain security cameras and backup footage for investigations.
    • Fire Systems: Regularly test and maintain alarms, extinguishers, and evacuation procedures.
    • Cost Management: Control expenses related to utilities, repairs, and contracts.

    Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

    • SHE Oversight: Enforce safety compliance, PPE use, and environmental standards.
    • H&S Procedures: Develop and maintain policies aligned with legislation and company standards.
    • Inspections & Audits: Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
    • Incident Management: Lead investigations and corrective actions for incidents.
    • Training: Deliver safety training and toolbox talks.
    • Emergency Preparedness: Maintain and test fire drills, first aid, and other procedures.

    Food Safety & Hygiene

    • Systems Management: Oversee HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO/FSSC 22000 systems.
    • Hygiene Monitoring: Ensure compliance in production, storage, and handling areas.
    • Audits & Inspections: Conduct internal audits; prepare for external reviews.
    • Non-Conformities: Investigate issues, conduct root cause analysis, and corrective action.
    • Training & Documentation: Maintain records and conduct staff food safety training.

    People & Team Management

    • Team Oversight: Manage team scheduling, leave, time and attendance.
    • Meetings: Organize and lead daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.
    • Coaching & Development: Address IR matters and provide training.
    • Goal Monitoring: Support team in achieving performance objectives

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent qualification.
    • Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in a similar position, with a preference for experience within the FMCG Retail industry.

    Loading Supervisor (Cape Town) (Airport Industria)

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    • The purpose of Loading Supervisor is to coordinate loading activities, manage warehouse operators, and ensure load stabilization.
    • Their role is crucial in maintaining accuracy, quality, and safety during the loading process, resulting in efficient and secure transportation of goods.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervising and managing the loading and counting activities performed by warehouse operators, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to established procedures and safety protocols.
    • Ensuring that the loaded items are properly secured and stabilized within the trucks or containers to prevent shifting or damage during transportation, using appropriate loading techniques and equipment, as necessary.
    • Conducting thorough checks and inspections of the loaded items to verify their accuracy and integrity, ensuring that they meet the required quality standards and comply with customer specifications.
    • Ensure vehicle temperatures are set within specification.
    • Maintaining accurate records of the loaded items, including quantities, condition, and any relevant documentation, for inventory control, tracking, and verification purposes.
    • Conduct equipment spot checks and staff PPE checks
    • Ensure sufficient loading consumables are available: pallet wrap, cello-tape, seals
    • Coordinating with other teams, such as logistics and inventory control, distribution, to resolve any issues or discrepancies identified during the loading process, ensuring smooth operations and timely order fulfilment.
    • Training and development: Providing training and coaching to warehouse operators to enhance their loading and counting skills, promoting consistent and accurate execution of tasks, and fostering continuous improvement.
    • Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving loading-related issues promptly, such as equipment malfunctions, inventory discrepancies, or loading constraints, to minimize disruptions and maintain efficient loading operations.
    • Ensuring effective pre-use inspection of loading equipment, and ongoing care of such by loading staff
    • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines during the loading process, implementing measures to prevent accidents, and promoting a safe working environment for the loading team.
    • Monitoring the performance of the loading team, tracking key performance indicators such as loading efficiency, accuracy, and productivity, and implementing strategies to optimize performance and meet operational targets.
    • Establishing and fostering a safe work environment by enforcing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage and overall safety compliance.
    • Operate within safety standards.
    • Managing the team, including organizing daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, overseeing time and attendance, planning and managing leave, and addressing industrial relations and providing relevant coaching and training.
    • Conduct team meetings.
    • Monitor and contribute to the overall achievement of the team's goals

    Stock Clerk (Bloemfontein - East End) (Bloemfontein)

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    • The purpose of a Stock Clerk is to ensure accurate stock records by conducting random checks and reconciling stock movements, identifying discrepancies, investigating queries, and maintaining the integrity of stock information.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensuring that the stock movements recorded in the system, such as purchase orders (POs), transfers in and out, invoices, credits, and write-offs, are accurately matched and aligned with the corresponding documentation.
    • Verifying and reconciling the stock movements recorded in the system with the actual gate activity, ensuring that the goods received, dispatched, or returned align with the recorded transactions.
    • Reviewing and comparing the stock movements recorded in the system with the camera footage, to validate the accuracy and integrity of the recorded transactions and identify any discrepancies or irregularities.
    • Identifying and investigating any discrepancies or inconsistencies between the system records, documentation, gate activity, and camera footage, conducting root cause analysis, and taking necessary actions to resolve and reconcile the discrepancies.
    • Documenting and maintaining detailed records of the reconciliation process, including findings, resolutions, and any necessary adjustments or corrections made to ensure accurate and up-to-date stock records.
    • Working closely with other teams, such as purchasing, warehouse operations, and finance, to address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to stock movements, ensuring alignment and accuracy across departments.
    • Reviewing and rectifying any discrepancies or errors in invoices related to stock, ensuring accurate invoicing and financial reconciliation. Communicating all invoice corrections to relevant stakeholders in order to drive invoice corrections down. Enable the delivery of correction invoices to customers.
    • Maintain a missing and unsigned invoice register and ensure the timeous obtaining of POD's that do not meet the necessary requirements. Update records accordingly.
    • Managing stock adjustments for various reasons, such as stock age, damages, or discrepancies identified during counts, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to established procedures.
    • Conducting stock recounts as necessary to validate and correct any discrepancies or inaccuracies identified during the reconciliation process, ensuring accurate stock records and inventory control.
    • Identifying and rectifying any errors or inconsistencies in stock reconciliations, ensuring accurate alignment between physical stock counts and system records.
    • Effectively communicating any stock adjustments, corrections, or discrepancies to relevant stakeholders, such as warehouse teams, inventory control, and management, to ensure proper understanding and resolution.
    • Generating comprehensive reports of all outbound movements based on camera footage, ensuring accurate and detailed records of stock activities.
    • Investigating and resolving queries or discrepancies by cross-referencing camera footage with stock movement records, providing evidence and verification to support findings and conclusions.
    • Performing random checks of full loads using camera footage, ensuring adherence to loading instructions, verifying accuracy, and identifying any potential issues or discrepancies.
    • Managing and organizing camera footage, ensuring easy retrieval and access for reconciliation purposes, query resolutions, or auditing requirements.
    • Adhering to safety guidelines and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing duties to mitigate potential risks.
    • Establishing and fostering a safe work environment and overall safety compliance.
    • Operate within safety standards.
    • Attend and participate in meetings and support the team in achieving the goals of the operation.
    • Attend coaching and training.
    • Contribute to the overall achievement of the team's goals
