• Takes full responsibility for all phases of testing and the management of the testing activities within a development and complex project.

• To develop and communicate an Overall Testing Strategy for the Project to include but not limited;
• The scope of Testing
• Test Methodology
• Appropriate number of test phases
• Roles and Responsibilities of Project stakeholders in relation to testing and Resource plannin
• Environments
• Management of Test Data
• Use of Test Tools including potential use of Automation tools
• Plans and oversees the planning of the system and acceptance tests and coordinates the execution of these plans
• Responsible for the production and approval of all testing deliverables and achievement of testing milestones during a project.
• Articulate and Report  on all strategic key information to Executive team.
• Provide updates to engagement manager/s.

Qualifications

• BSC in computer science or equivalent degree / National Diploma
• ISTQB in Advanced Test Management (or equivalent) preferred
• Project management certification (i.e. PMI PMP, Prince2) advantageous

Desired Skills & Experience      

• 5-10 years in Quality Assurance, with experience in writing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and in test automation
• Subject matter expertise in RETAIL industry
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of quality assurance processes, standards, methodologies, and tools
• Previous experience of managing and completing complex projects especially in the RETAIL sector
• Strong reporting and documentation skills
• Ability to influence Stakeholders and sell the value of testing
• Understanding of test management tools/solutions/integrations JIRA and SPIRATest or ALM/QC, MS TM would be an advantage
• Proven ability to challenge conventional thought and offer unique perspectives and ideas
• Excellent time management and the ability to work to tight deadlines

• Takes responsibility for a certain area and conditions as well as results evaluation, problem resolution and planning.
• Selects appropriate standards, methods, tools and applications for project use.
• Applies data analysis and data modelling techniques to modify or maintain a data structure and its associated components (entity descriptions, relationship descriptions, attribute definitions).
• Creates and executes basic non-functional test scripts following a given set of guidelines and sets up test environments, data and monitors.
• Designs, codes, tests and documents simple programs or scripts and assist in the implementation of software which forms part of a properly engineered system.
• Co-ordinates the information gathering and reporting process, conducting research to define problems and preparing responses to anticipated questions.
• Accurately identifies project risks and reports effectively to relevant stakeholders. Manages issues, risks, actions, dependencies, and defects to the success of the project.
• Creates traceability records, from test cases back to requirements. Can report on system quality and collects metrics on test cases.
• Produces test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services.
• Maintains the status of project and provides guidance to the work of junior team members, works across teams to achieve group goals

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
• ISTQB Foundation
• Additional course or certification in Quality Engineering
• Certification in NFT Tools such HP QTP, Selenium, HP LR, Loadrunner, Jmeter etc.

Requirements - Essential

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
• 2 years working experience in IT
• 1 years working experience in Testing (Manual / Automation)

• Experience within a banking environment

Experience

• Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of quality engineering processes and principles and understands the differences and benefits between the core services and can communicate this.
• Has a basic level of quality engineering expertise and can combine with domain understanding.
• Good understanding of system architecture. Has experience in at least one development language and discipline - OOP languages (C#, Java, C++...). Comfortable with basic SQL.
• Experience in assisting with coding, testing, debugging, executing and documenting simple automated functional tests in at least one industry-standard tool.
• Good self management, with experience in delivering reliably and consistently against defined goals, adapting own approach to ensure goals are met
