Position Summary:

• We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven New Business Development executive with a strong analytical background to drive growth in the financial services sector. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, forging strategic affiliate partnerships for Loan and Insurance leads, and leveraging data-driven insights to optimize decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, good analytical skills, and a decent understanding of financial services and the ability to present to upper management.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

• Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities that align with company objectives.
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to acquire new customers and expand market presence.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, clients, and industry leaders.

Strategic Partnerships:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and secure partnerships that drive revenue and enhance service offerings.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with potential partners and clients.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

• Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
• Use insights to inform business development strategies and recommend areas for investment.
• Track and report on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

• Leverage analytics to assess business performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Create and present detailed business cases supported by quantitative and qualitative data.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track success.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or a related role within financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and close high-value deals.

Technical and Analytical Skills:

• Proficient in using data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms).
• Strong ability to analyze financial and operational data to inform strategic decisions.

Interpersonal Skills:

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proven ability to build and nurture relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Other Skills:

• Knowledge of financial products, services, and market dynamics.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills

• This role will be ideal for a strong analytical individual who is passionate about analysis, problem-solving through data analysis, and interpreting data to assist tactical and strategic decision-making with the focus being on Growth (conversion) and Customer Experience.
• You will have a Product view of problems and help Product & Engineering teams to make better decisions through your analysis.

• Funnel and conversion analysis
• Root cause analysis
• Analyze data and business processes to enable decision-making.
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports and explain movements and trends.
• Set up measures and track strategic initiatives.
• Leverage the data to find new ways of looking at customer behavior and solutions to business challenges.
• Run ad-hoc in-depth analysis across different data sources
• Work closely with the product owners to understand data structure and make recommendations on logging to streamline post-go-live reporting and analysis.
• Track, review, and analyze performance to ensure targets are met, variances are identified, investigated, and explained.
• Understand the business process to create a new analysis that will highlight areas for improvement.
• Build data models that can be used to build real-time decision models in our Tech Platform

More about you: 

Experience & Skills

• 6 years of experience with a Data Analysis role
• Experience in the financial services or tech industry
• Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong willingness to learn
• Self-motivated driver of performance who is passionate about data and analysis
• Mathematics or Statistics related degree
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in analyzing data
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• SQL query writing skills is essential (or equivalent Python)
• Experience in big data reporting packages will be an added advantage (e.g., PowerBI/ QlikView/ Tableau)
• Data engineering experience will be an advantage.
