    Requirements:

    • 3+ years events supervision experience or experience in a similar industry such as stretch tent rentals and set-ups, Event rental, delegation management, operations management, logistics control, sales technical - handyman work and warehouse management

    Human Resource Manager - Stellenbosch

    Criteria:

    • 5+ years’ experience in a senior HR role, preferably in the hospitality sector.
    • Proficient in VIP or Sage Business Cloud systems.
    • Familiarity with HR biometric systems.
    • Tertiary qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Psychology or National Diploma in Human Resources.
    • Valid driver’s license and own transport.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to

    • Manage payroll, including weekly wages, monthly salaries, and leave recording on Sage Business Cloud.
    • Prepare and submit EMP501 (bi-annual/annual) and EMP201 for SARS compliance.
    • Draft and issue contracts aligned with SA legislation, handle employee queries, and disciplinary actions.
    • Ensure compliance with labour laws, including Skills Development, Employment Equity, WCA, and UIF.
    • Lead and support industrial relations (grievances, misconduct, performance issues, retrenchments).
    • Represent the company at CCMA.
    • Oversee recruitment, employee records, and performance reviews.
    • Conduct new employee orientation and exit interviews.
    • Provide guidance on HR policies, legislative changes, and company procedures.
    • Drive employee engagement and culture through surveys and initiatives.
    • Implement training and development programs for continuous improvement.
    • Advise on compensation strategies, salary benchmarking, and policy recommendations.

    Financial Manager CA (SA)

    Key performance areas

    Financial Planning and Analysis

    • Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision making.
    • Perform financial analyzes to identify trends, risks and opportunities and make recommendations to senior management
    • Perform reconciliations and deal with any discrepancies or problems.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecasts, highlight deviations and suggest corrective actions.

    Reporting and Compliance

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
    • Coordinate the preparation of management reports.
    • Ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements.
    • Manage all SARS submissions, ensure timely and accurate reporting of tax liabilities.
    • Handle SARS inquiries effectively and deal with tax related issues.

     Cash Flow Management

    • Monitor cash flow to ensure that the company has sufficient funds for operational requirements.
    • Optimize cash flow through effective management of debtors, creditors, and inventory.

    Risk management

    • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to manage them, including exchange rate exposure and credit risk.
    • Implement internal controls to protect company assets and comply with company policy.

    Systems and Process Improvement

    • Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and controls to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reporting.
    • Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.

    Personnel Management

    • Lead, monitor and evaluate the performance of the finance team.
    • Assess and review the work of team members to ensure accuracy and adherence to financial standards.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.

    Cooperation with Stakeholders

    • Maintain contact with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.

    Minimum tuition / qualification required

    • Relevant Finance qualification (BCom/BCom Accounts)
    • Appropriate Postgraduate courses/qualifications
    • Completed clerkship (SAICA)
    • Registered with relevant industry body as CA(SA)

    Minimum experience required

    • 1 -2 years' after completing clerkship

    Bird and Bat Specialist

    Core qualifications, skills sets and experience must include:

    • Species Identification: Ability to identify various bird and bat species based on visual and auditory cues.
    • Monitoring Techniques: Proficiency in using monitoring tools.
    • Data Collection: Experience in collecting and recording data on bird and bat populations, behaviours and habitats.
    • Habitat Assessment: Knowledge of different habitats preferred by birds and bats, and ability to assess habitat quality and suitability for these species.
    • Fieldwork Skills: Strong skills in conducting field surveys, including setting up monitoring stations, conducting transects, and following standardized protocols.
    • Data Analysis: Capability to analyse monitoring data using statistical tools and software to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
    • Report Writing: Effective communication skills to document findings, prepare reports, and present results to stakeholders.
    • Conservation Knowledge: Understanding of conservation issues affecting bird and bat populations, and knowledge of conservation strategies and practices.
    • Safety Awareness: Adherence to safety protocols while working in the field, including awareness of risks such as wildlife encounters and environmental hazards.

    Environmental Assessment Practitioner

    Core qualifications, skills sets, and experience must include:

    • Post Graduate Science degree in environmental field
    • Must have successfully managed and completed (as a lead EAP) at least BA or S&EIA Application Processes
    • Must be EAPSA registered
    • Must be a Team player
    • Critical thinking and obsessive attention to detail
    • Good project management and people skills
    • Exemplary work ethic and not afraid to muck in to get the job done
    • Must be tough and have the ability to beat deadlines
