    Mid - Senior Designer

    Job Summary

    This position requires professionalism, excellent communication skills, a keen understanding of design practices; and the ability to collaborate effectively with various business units, when needed, including – and especially – the content team. This role requires attention to detail from a person who can interpret a brief with a full understanding of the brand(s) in mind.  

    Key responsibilities and performance areas:

    • Design print and digital collateral, based on various brand CIs.
    • Develop new concepts.
    • Maintain and update existing designs.
    • Create designs for social media platforms, apps, and marketing campaigns.

    Communication:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with content delivery partners, particularly members of the content team.
    • Be open to mentoring the junior designer.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues as needed.

    Compliance:

    • Monitor and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

    Requirements

    • Matric, with a relevant tertiary qualification in visual communication design, graphic design, or equivalent.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Highly proficient in design programs.
    • Must live IDM’s values.

    Marketing Copy Editor

    Job Summary 

    The successful candidate will be able to edit for grammatical excellence, accuracy, clarity, simplicity, and brevity, in strict adherence to style guides, with the brand and corporate guidelines in mind.

    3-5 years of experience is needed in editing B2B and B2C financial copy.

    He or she will be a tech and systems ninja, able to work within a pressurised environment, and to tight deadlines.

    The role will involve working with, and editing for, a passionate and motivated team. The role is a supportive function of the IDM Editor-in-Chief.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Editing content across all channels and brands, including but not limited to long-form articles, web pages, news releases, scripts, social media posts, Google and Meta ads, rewards programme material, and extensive email campaigns; ensuring:
      • Factual accuracy,
      • Grammatical excellence,
      • Adherence to client brief – including format, length, suitability for the purpose, and appeal to target audience, and
      • Adherence to brand tone, style guide, and CI.
    • Upskilling and mentoring junior writers, scoring articles, and providing feedback.

    Requirements

    • Creative and highly mindful of audience/user/client experience.
    • Superior ability to interpret and conform to briefs; asking questions where necessary.
    • High level of proficiency in MS Office 365, Google Docs, project management systems, Microsoft Teams, etc.
    • Experience in a fast-paced agency environment.
    • Deadline-driven, with strong project management skills.
    • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
    • Must align to IDM’s values.
    • Must be based in Cape Town.
    • Familiarity with SEO is an advantage.
