    • The Shared Services team plays a vital role in streamlining processes, enhancing efficiency, and providing high-quality support for all human resources functions. This includes data management, employee services, and fostering best practices to elevate organizational performance.

    Research Operations Manager

    Job Purpose

    • In your role as Research Operations Manager, you'll act as the driving force behind multiple customer insights projects, blending your expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Leading a dedicated team of 10 Research Associates and Leads, you will shape the course of research, ensuring precision and high standards across all activities.
    • Serving as the primary project manager, you will swiftly gain a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of each project, addressing challenges and research questions with a mastery of best practices and tools at M-KOPA’s disposal. Whether based in Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, or South Africa, your influence will extend across multiple markets.

    Your role encompasses several core responsibilities:

    Research Oversight and Leadership

    • You will uphold the integrity of research by applying rigorous quality control measures to methodologies and data collection. Once the data is in, your analytical prowess will shine as you distill insights and generate compelling, data-driven recommendations through clear and impactful reports.

    Research Operations

    • You will manage quotas and productivity, ensuring timely delivery of research projects and insightful reports. Overseeing two Customer Insights Research Operations Leads, you will drive operational excellence while nurturing their growth through coaching and mentorship. Additionally, you will streamline processes by refining project kick-offs, onboarding, offboarding, and knowledge management.

    People Management

    • Beyond overseeing research, you'll play a vital role in fostering team development. You will offer guidance, coordinate performance discussions, and hold regular team meetings to provide feedback, share updates, and maintain organizational alignment. You'll keep morale high and champion the hiring and onboarding processes, ensuring a cohesive and high-performing team.

    This is a hybrid role reporting to the Strategic Research Manager - Customer Insights.

    Climate Strategy Lead

    • In this role, you will be responsible for leading M-KOPA’s climate strategy, accelerating our transition to electric mobility, and building a circular economy for smartphones. You'll work closely with internal teams to integrate climate responsibility into our growth, while securing funding and partnerships to advance our climate initiatives.
    • In this role, you will lead the development and execution of M-KOPA's climate strategy, with a focus on monetizing carbon projects and advancing the electric mobility sector. You will stay up-to-date on carbon credit systems and the evolving landscape of carbon offsetting regulations across M-KOPA’s markets. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will embed sustainability into M-KOPA’s products, operations, and business model, while contributing to the company’s ESG strategy with an emphasis on carbon reduction and climate-responsible growth. Additionally, you will secure strategic partnerships and funding opportunities, including grants and carbon credits, to support M-KOPA’s e-mobility and device sustainability initiatives. Engaging with key stakeholders, you will promote M-KOPA’s climate initiatives, carbon measurement, and carbon credit projects. You will also lead the creation of thought leadership content, advocating for climate impact and driving the adoption of data-driven solutions for climate risk modeling and impact evaluation.
    • This is a hybrid/remote role, you would be working from our offices in (UK, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa), partnering with a diverse group of employees from our different markets and locations across the UK, Europe and Africa.

    Expertise

    • The ideal candidate will have many years of experience in climate strategy, sustainable finance, or carbon project development, ideally within African markets. They should have a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and executing climate-related projects in a technology-driven environment.
    • The candidate should possess a deep understanding of decarbonization strategies, carbon markets, and sustainability frameworks such as Net Zero and science-based targets. They should also be familiar with ESG principles, carbon trading systems, and climate-related regulatory requirements, and be proficient in using data tools for sustainability reporting and carbon measurement.
    • Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills are essential, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, excellent communication skills are necessary to engage with senior management, investors, and external partners effectively.

    Senior Product Manager - Inventory

    • We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own and evolve our enterprise inventory management systems, ensuring M-KOPA can efficiently manage and scale our operations across Africa while maintaining operational excellence.
    • This role offers the opportunity to drive significant organizational value through the implementation and iteration of enterprise-grade inventory systems that support M-KOPA's mission of digital and financial inclusion.     About Us

    • This position sits within our Acquisition Sales product group and is responsible for our enterprise inventory management systems and processes. You'll own our Microsoft Dynamics implementation while ensuring seamless integration with our other operational systems and maintaining business continuity as we scale

    In this role, you would be responsible for:

    • Owning the strategic direction and evolution of M-KOPA's inventory management systems
    • Defining and implementing inventory control processes that deliver operational efficiency with accurate reporting and regulatory compliance
    • Driving continuous improvement in our warehouse, supply chain, refurbishment and second life device capabilities
    • Partnering with operational teams to maintain standard operating procedures for inventory management across all channels
    • Working closely with finance teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting
    • Owning complex feature areas including serial number tracking, reverse logistics, and repair management
    • Leading system enhancement and optimization initiatives across multiple markets
    • Driving change management initiatives in partnership with operational counterparts to ensure successful adoption of new capabilities

    Your application should have evidence of/experience with:

    • 5+ years of pro duct management experience with enterprise inventory management systems
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O or similar enterprise inventory systems
    • Track record of successfully scaling inventory management solutions
    • This is a fully remote role, that would have expectations of travelling across our different markets and working within the following time zone (UTC -1 / UTC+3).
    • Experience managing inventory systems across multiple locations and channels
    • Strong understanding of f inancial compliance requirements related to inventory management
    • Experience with complex stock movement workflows
    • Experience managing reverse logistics and repair tracking systems
    • Proven ability to work with distributed teams across multiple countries
    • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making
    • Experience with agile methodologies and cross-functional team leadership
