    Stock Controller

    Stock Controller

    • Our client, located in Northriding, Randburg, is a well-established and fast-growing importer and distributor of premium-quality products are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join their dynamic team.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Undergraduate Degree or relevant Diploma.
    • Advantageous: Proven experience with stock and an accounting software.
    • Essential: Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
    • Essential: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Stock Controller role.
    • Essential: Experience working with Third-Party Logistics (3PL) partners.
    • Essential: Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Monitor stock levels proactively and contribute to the forecasting process to ensure optimal inventory availability.
    • Process purchase orders received from the Director and maintain the shipping register for visibility and tracking.
    • Perform accurate imported stock costings, load landed costs into Acumatica and ensure timely stock booking.
    • Reconcile inventory records between Acumatica and the third-party logistics (3PL) system, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
    • Liaise closely with the 3PL provider to track stock through their online portal and coordinate the reverse logistics process, ensuring all returns are accounted for.
    • Maintain live, synchronized stock records across both internal and third-party systems to support real-time accuracy.
    • Prepare weekly stock reports highlighting low or out-of-stock items to assist the sales team with planning.
    • Compile and submit month-end inventory reports, including reconciling the inventory module with the general ledger/trial balance.
    • Coordinate and oversee physical stock counts across all three warehouses, ensuring accurate reporting and adjustments where necessary.
    • Maintain detailed records of obsolete, slow-moving, or damaged stock, and arrange for repackaging or kit conversions as needed.
    • Work with the accounts department to process customer returns and ensure credits are issued appropriately.

    • Collaborate closely with internal teams—including CAD designers, technicians, and project managers—to ensure seamless, end-to-end project execution.
    • Stay abreast of evolving fire protection standards, technologies, and industry best practices.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
    • Support the development of junior staff through mentoring and knowledge-sharing activities.
