      DUTIES:

      • Coordination of EPWP projects reporting in the organization across all four sectors of the programme, environment, infrastructure, non-state, and social sector
      • Operating the ER-system of the National Department of Public Works to report all the EPWP jobs on-line into the system
      • Filling all documents related to EPWP reporting of the projects for Pre-Audit and Auditing purposes
      • Facilitating the EPWP reports and to ensure that all the work opportunities are correctly reported on the ER system of EPWP
      • Serve as the Secretariat to the external and internal EPWP meetings

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      Project Management

      • Provide advice to management on infrastructure related projects by:
      • Reviewing infrastructure projects based on the community needs.

      • To ensure the provision of project management input into the infrastructure service delivery programme of the entity to communities.

      Project Budget Planning

      Provide planning services for the infrastructure projects by:

      • Costing of infrastructure projects on a yearly basis.

      Project Implementation and Monitoring

      • Monitor implementation of projects as per approved scope, budget, and standards (following principles of PMBOK)

      • Attend sectoral planning meetings, including IDP process meetings.

      • Performance Management Systems for service providers and technicians.

      • Support and build capacity of technicians and service providers in project management.

      Project Financial Management

      • Prepare a departmental budgeting and compilation of the Business Plan in compliance with approved Strategy.

      • To ensure prudent financial management associated with the implementation of infrastructure projects.

      Business Plan Development for Bankable Projects

      • Lead the preparation, evaluation, and finalisation of comprehensive business plans for capital and operational projects, ensuring they are financially viable (“bankable”) and aligned with organisational objectives.
      • This includes conducting feasibility studies, developing financial models, assessing risks, engaging stakeholders, and preparing documentation to secure funding from public or private sources.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • The role will be responsible to develop an annual working plan for the business unit in line with the overarching Business Strategy.
      • Develop Charters for Board and sub-committees. Develop the Governance Framework to plan, direct and coordinate NEDA’s governance activities to ensure that governance practices are consistent and aligned to applicable legislation and regulations. Provide guidance and support to the NEDA Board, its committee(s) and the Executive Management on corporate governance.
      • Establish terms of reference for the Board inclusive of function requirements and levels of authority. Develop an annual schedule of Board and respective sub-committee meetings and circulate to members.
      • Monitor the implementation of Board resolutions and legal compliance requirements to always ensure compliance and keep the Board informed on the status and progress.
      • Act as liaison between management and the Board and the Shareholder.
      • Continuously facilitate the training of Board members and actively raising awareness around Corporate Social Responsibility and the Ethics Code.
