    Intermediate Phase Teacher (Ruimsig) - Temp Contract

    • Nova Pioneer is looking for a superstar teacher occupy a temporary teaching position at our Ruimsig Primary School in term 3! This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic teacher to empower students using an enquiry-based learning approach and to be a part of an innovative network of schools that is developing generations of innovators and leaders who will shape the African Century. 

    About the Role

    • We are looking for an exceptional Grade 6 temp Teacher in term 3. Teachers lead instruction and planning for subject- or grade-level classrooms and are responsible for driving a rigorous, enquiry-based learning environment the Nova Pioneer way. Resident Teachers are supported by Deans of Instruction who partner with them in their growth journey - working full-time to empower teachers’ development by observing lessons and providing consistent feedback and coaching.     Key responsibilities for the role include:

    • Work closely with learning designers to design impactful lessons
    • Design and deliver impactful and engaging enquiry-based lessons supported by technology to enhance instructional delivery
    • Observe, coach and be a model teacher for Apprentice Teachers
    • Infuse joy and passion for learning into lessons so that students are excited about and invested in their academic excellence
    • Set and communicate rigorous and ambitious goals for all students and provide student feedback so they internalize it
    • Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress. Use assessment data to adjust instructional content and delivery techniques accordingly
    • Attend weekly feedback meetings with Deans and learning designers to enhance teaching practices
    • Fully participate in opportunities for professional growth including daily team meetings and reflections, weekly professional development meetings, instructional coaching, and organisation wide learning and reflection
    • Communicate regularly with parents through e-mail, telephone and parent-teacher conferences
    • Contribute to and participate in co-curricular programming for at least one activity in the course of a term
    • Participate in a variety of collaborative teams and committees, fulfill supervision duties as assigned, including some morning, evening and weekend events

    About You

    Skills and Qualifications required:

    • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor’s Degree + Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) -  (Intermediate phase)
    • SACE registered (Kindly provide registration number and certificate in application
    • Classroom experience teaching Mathematics Intermediate Phase
    • Experience and/or understanding of Cambridge curriculum objectives would be an advantage
    • Ability to lead a classroom independently, with experience in a classroom (practicals included)

    Admissions Associate (South Africa)

    • Nova Pioneer is looking for a superstar Admission Associate. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an innovative network of schools that is developing generations of innovators and leaders who will shape the African Century. This position is part of the centralised Marketing Team in South Africa, and will require on-campus presence daily, and travel between schools.

    About the role:

    Admissions: 

    • You will be responsible for providing a compelling experience for prospective parents, through various methods (events, emailers, calls etc.), that leads to these parents ultimately enrolling at our schools.
    • You will be responsible for performing school tours and assessments with prospective families, in partnership with your school team
    • You will be required to drive both offline and online application generation activities. Online applications come from our digital channels like Facebook, whilst offline applications come from other traditional marketing channels. As such, you may be required, at times, to attend events (such as expos, community events) in order to engage with prospective parents.
    • You will be responsible for meeting the #HighExpectations weekly, monthly, and annual admissions targets set to help grow our schools. This entails facilitating and tracking the high volume of applications from prospective families through the admissions funnel from applied to enrolled stage. 
    • Communications: You will be responsible for any written, verbal (phone, in person), and electronic (email, SMS) communications to prospective parents of Nova Pioneer students, this includes copy editing, proofreading, and revising communications across a variety of channels, and escalating it up the chain where necessary or prudent. Your communication is expected to be well composed, compelling and timely, within the protocol set by your manager and the organisation.
    • Stakeholder engagement: As the face of your campus you will be required to not only engage with families as you take them through the application process, you will also be required to work closely with school teams, particularly the Head of School. You will also be required to build relationships with a targeted number of feeder school partners. 
    • Data and Reporting: We are a data-driven team, and data analysis and reporting comes into every aspect of the work we do. You will be responsible for linking business commercial needs with school requirements. You will need to update and maintain the various team dashboards and submit weekly reports in a timely manner.

    Events management: 

    • As an  Admissions Associate, you will be expected to organise and execute events, such as open days, that both creatively encourage increased engagement with prospective parents, as well as  drive new student admissions. 
    • You will be required to work with the Marketing team 

    About You

    Skills and Qualifications required:

    • You have a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, commerce or any related field.
    • Minimum 3 years of admissions experience (essential), with a proven track record of successfully managing high-volume pipelines and converting interest into enrolments.
    • At least 3 years’ experience building and managing important relationships in sales, marketing, communications and/or business development, ideally within an education context.
    • You are a great communicator: You are able to provide a clear and persuasive pitch to anyone and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • You are results-driven and can work well under pressure: You are goal-oriented, move fast and take ownership of work.
    • You are detail-oriented, organised and can manage your time well. This role will require you to track and manage a high volume of applicants in a systematic and organised manner to ensure a smooth parent experience. 
    • You possess great computer skills, with proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
    • You are entrepreneurial and agile.You have an eye for opportunities, a high sense of urgency and can manage multiple projects concurrently.

    2026 Intern Educational Psychologists

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • Working with the school's educational psychologist to provide educational psychological services to students across campuses of Nova Pioneer. This will include individual therapeutic interventions, psychoeducational assessments, group intervention, meeting attendance and collaborative multidisciplinary work, case management, and consultations with parents and teachers.

    Your key responsibilities will be to:

    • Work under the supervision of Nova Pioneer's educational psychologists, who will act as the site supervisors
    • As per the HPCSA requirements, the internship will be full-time, and the intern will be required to work through school holidays. Leave days are allocated according to the HPCSA guidelines and school contract 
    • Provide therapeutic interventions, including play therapy and trauma support to primary and secondary  school students from Grade 00/000 to Grade 12
    • Provide learning support and remedial interventions to students in primary school.
    • Conduct psycho-educational assessments
    • Write professional, useful, and psychometrically-sound assessment reports
    • Provide workshops, group interventions and facilitate Social and Emotional Learning experiences with an emphasis on prevention and psychoeducation to students, staff and parents
    • Attend Student Support Team meetings (SST) and work as part of a collaborative student support team
    • Maintain accurate clinical records
    • Maintain the highest level of professional and ethical conduct, upholding the professional rules of conduct pertaining to the profession of psychology as laid down by the HPCSA

    ABOUT YOU

    Essential: 

    • Have completed or be nearing completion of an accredited Master’s degree in education or counseling psychology (no time will be given for completion of course work)
    • Have an individualised internship program that has been approved by the Professional Board for Psychology by December 2025
    • Be registered with the HPCSA as an intern Psychologist by no later than January 2026
    • Be willing and able to work on different campuses of the school
    • Have supervised experience in therapeutic interventions and psychological assessment

    • You have taught Maths at the senior school level (Grade 8 - 12 experience) for at least 2 years 
    • Experience and/or understanding of the Cambridge or IEB curriculum objectives is ideal
    • SACE registered
    • Ability to lead a classroom independently
