    Blockman

    Minimum requirements

    • Grade 12 / Matric / Equivalent
    • Must comply with the medical criteria required by the OHS Act for the Butchery.
    • All applicants will be required to successfully complete the appropriate numeracy screening assessments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate all Butchery equipment including the Bandsaw
    • Report any defective equipment/utensils to the Butchery Manager

    Data Analyst

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Matric, preferably with Science and Mathematics.
    • A diploma, degree or relevant certification in Data Management, Data Governance, Business Analysis, Information Systems, Commerce, Supply Chain, Retail or a related field would be advantageous and beneficial, but is preferred rather than mandatory.

    Key Responsibilities

    Data Governance

    • Ensure business data definitions and standards are documented and maintained as per agreed business rules.
    • Support relevant Data Owners, Master Data teams and business stakeholders to drive consistency of key data elements.
    • Ensure that business data is correctly synchronised with legacy and downstream systems, where required.

    • Co-ordinate and monitor agreed logistics and purchasing Article data for all Regions, to ensure that they correlate to Pick n Pay processes and standards.
    • Review business rules via SAP Information Steward and ensure alignment with approved business requirements.
    • Audit and monitor master data and communicate with relevant stakeholders on any deviations.
    • Document business rules to related system rules.
    • Ensure rule changes are reviewed, tested and approved with relevant business stakeholders.

    SAP Information Steward Administration

    • Create, delete and change rules within the SAP Information Steward system as per approved business requirement.
    • Maintain business rule documentation and change history.
    • Support rule testing, scheduling and exception monitoring.
    • Work with IS and relevant technical teams where technical support is required.

    Analytics

    • Compare and analyse master data between systems (e.g. IDW and ERP), advise and assist business on any anomalies and corrective action measures.
    • Analyse data to create and enhance new and existing reports.
    • Identify, evaluate and solve complex business problems for area of responsibility, where data profiling / validation is carried out as per business needs.
    • Act independently to identify an approach for representing business rules and data quality checks using SAP Information Steward.
    • Support IS and relevant technical teams by defining business requirements for data profiling, migration, cleansing and validation activities.
    • Develop and maintain data profiling rules on product, customer and transactional data using SAP Information Steward, where applicable.
    • Maintain knowledge of Data Quality, Profiling and Cleansing principles.

    Reports

    • Run daily, weekly and monthly reports to verify that business is generating these reports effectively.
    • Compile business rule reports and distribute to relevant stakeholders to ascertain if Data KPIs are met.
    • Analyse report trends and recurring exceptions and recommend corrective actions.
    • Monitor data quality KPIs and escalate material issues where required.

    Minimum Requirements
