    Manager Financial I

    Specific Outputs    

    • Management reporting on a monthly and adhoc basis. Analyse and report financial performance. Attends to any queries or further analysis requested on the content thereof.
    • Planning, co-ordination & execution of annual Budget, Year End Financial Statements and annual Insurance Returns.
    • Perform daily and monthly financial accounting procedures. Verify reasonability of monthly income statement, balance sheet & cash flow entries. Maintain master data to facilitate management reporting.
    • Perform internal control procedures. Manages liaison with the internal auditors and administer the completion of open internal and external audit findings. Prepare risk reporting on risk management tool and engagement with risk owners. Attend stock takes, verify assets, check internal controls and provide training w.r.t. financial systems, policies & procedures at production sites country wide.
    • Supporting the business from a finance perspective in terms of IFRS and Tax. Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards/legislation.

    Required Experience    

    • Completed 3 year articles at a registered auditing firm
    • Computer literacy (MS Advanced Excel / Word / SAP / SAP Business Intelligence Portal)
    • Ability to work under pressure, accurately and independently

    Qualifications    
    BAccHons degree working towards a Registered Chartered Accountant South Africa

    Primary Objectives of the Position    

    • Extensive management reporting and interaction with Divisional Executive Management. Financial accounting and co-ordination and preparation of budgets and financial reports. Other functions include: insurance returns, internal audits (including management of open internal audit findings), risk reporting, master data maintenance, financial process control and training. Normally reports to Manager Financial II or Finance Executive.
