    Driver

    Purpose of the role:

    • To carry out driving duties in a safe and efficient manner and achieve timely collections and deliveries to customers

    The job responsibilities:

    • Ensure integrity of cargo by securing the vehicle at all times.
    • Operate within the law regarding to, speed limits, and ensure all legal documents are adhered to.
    • Ensure all company documents relating to the loads are fully completed in line with internal procedures.
    • Assist with the loading and off loading, handling and labelling of freight as required.
    • Completes all documentation and manifests required to indicate proper delivery and receipt of goods.
    • Secures loads and assures loads are within vehicles weight limits.
    • Ensures good customer relations by consistently delivery orders on time.
    • Utilise a vehicle inspection check sheet, inspect truck for defects before and after operations.
    • Turns in vehicle inspection sheet daily to supervisor and reports any defects.
    • Completes driver log or trip report in accordance with regulations.
    • Maintain knowledge of highway conditions and commercial driving safety regulations.
    • Transports and deliver products in accordance with the routing schedules developed by management.
    • Operates truck in difficult delivery situations such as congested city streets and passageways.
    • Maintain current driving licenses and medical certificates required to operate assigned vehicle.
    • Ensure compliance with routing and scheduling.
    • Be involved in the physical checking of goods at collection and delivery points.
    • Refuel,check oil and water levels and carry out vehicle safety checks daily.
    • Report all defects in writing to the supervisor.
    • Act in a responsible and courteous manner at customers delivery points.
    • Operate the overhead crane to load and offload the vehicle.

    Qualifications & Experience Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Valid driver's license and public drivers permit (PDP) 
    • 2 years' past driving experience

    IT Operations Manager - M2

    The role

    Strategic Planning:

    • Participate in contributing to the Global IT Strategy.
    • Develop the Country IT strategic plan, ensuring alignment to the overarching Global IT Strategy.
    • Develop site plans to implement on the Country IT strategic plan.
    • Ensure alignment between Sandvik’s Global and Business Area’s IT standards and strategies with country IT requirements.
    • Communicate the Global IT strategy and Country IT and site strategies to the country business leadership.

    Information Technology Management:

    • Develop and/or review local IT policies and procedures for sub-Sahara Africa and ensure alignment with Global policies.
    • Manage and monitor the reliability and performance of the IT systems.
    • Manage the proper life cycle of all IT systems.
    • Oversee all major business change initiatives pertaining to IT, ensuring alignment with Global initiatives and standards.
    • Accountable for IT demands, authorised IT projects and enhancements of specific applications / infrastructure.
    • Develop and maintain solid relationships with Sandvik business stakeholders in Sub-Sahara Africa.
    • Oversee the management of relationships with key IT suppliers to ensure service level agreements are adhered to, and attend to escalated issues that may arise.

    IT Governance and Security:

    • Monitor and enforce IT compliance from a local perspective, ensuring alignment to Global IT policy and processes.
    • Monitor adherence to IT Security policy and procedures.
    • Manage the participation in local and global internal and external audits and manage compliance requirements.
    • Effective Budget Management:
    • Determine and compile annual budget forecast for submission to Country Management for approval.
    • Monitor and control budget, producing quarterly budget review reports.
    • Approve expenses and ensure alignment to approved budget.
    • Identify cost saving initiatives to maximise financial profitability.

    Effective Subordinate Management:

    • Manage the recruitment of subordinates in accordance with HR policy and procedures.
    • Manage performance of subordinates through the development of performance agreements and conducting performance reviews.
    • Identify learning opportunities for subordinates through the identification of areas for development, coaching and recommending formal functional training when required.
    • Implement talent management and succession planning frameworks.
    • Manage sound employee relations in accordance with HR policy and procedures.

    Your Profile

    • Degree in Information Technology or equivalent job experience
    • Post graduate qualification in Information Technology will be advantageous
    • 10 years’ experience in IT service delivery and management, of which 5 years is at a management level
    • IT experience in a global company will be advantageous
    • Experience in managing customer and supplier relations
    • Experience of managing the IT expert organization
    • Knowledge of IT business processes
    • Good project management skills
    • Excellent customer focus
    • People management and budget experience is critical
    • Strategic thinking

    TSSR - P1

    The Role:

    • To apply and use knowledge of sales process and tools in promoting and selling the organization's products and services within assigned geographic area, product range or list of customer accounts to achieve significant sales targets.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify prospects and take a lead on preparation of presentations.
    • Sell products and services using solid arguments to prospective customers

    Your Profile:

    • Grade 12/Equivalent qualification
    • Relevant post Matric qualification will be advantageous
    • Experience in a mining environment with specific exposure to rock tools
    • At least 2 years’ experience in various mining applications
    • Experience in Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) environment
    • At least 5 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing
    • Physically and medically fit to work in a mining environment

    Marketing & Communications Specialist

    Purpose of the role:

    • To provide proactive management of the marketing and communications activities in accordance with the Sandvik business model.
    • The role will help oversee the development and execution of Divisional and Sales area marketing strategies, develop business and communication strategies for different channels and stakeholders both internally and externally
    • In addition, this role will be the Executive Assistant to the Executive Team (Directors/Senior Management) providing administrative support and office admin support which includes the travel system platform

    The job responsibilities:

    Develop, implement and track marketing initiatives

    • Collaborate with other internal teams (eg. product & sales) to develop and monitor the marketing initiatives for the Africa territories, including an establish event/marketing plan inline with the budget
    • Monitoring & reporting of marketing spend in accordance with annual budget
    • Liasing with the other African country marketing teams for SRP marketing initiatives
    • Working with the appointed external marketing service provider to develop and agree the annual budget and external marketing publications, liasing with the VP and then the internal content providers.
    • Conduct market research and analyse trends to identify new marketing initiatives
    • Support with the development of marketing materials and liasing with the global teams (marketing & product) to ensure the sales area have the relevant marketing materials
    • Organizing & coordinating the marketing events/shows/trade shows
    • Working with global marketing team to promote Africa content & stories via the SRP LinkedIn page and other social media
    • Driving NPS initiatives utilizing the CRM accounts and coordinating efforts to increase NPS response rate and improvements in NPS rates feedback

    COMMUNICATIONS & INTERNAL

    • Responsible for drafting and distributing internal communications to the relevant stakeholders via the SRP Africa communication channels
    • Liasing with managers to agree content to ensure organization is well informed on changes and other important organizational information and establishment and execution of annual communications calendar & internal events.
    • Set up and administrative support for internal communication webinars
    • Developing and preparing the material for the internal communications webinars etc liasing with sales area key stakeholders
    • Suggest and develop internal communication plans & communication models to ensure improved and effective internal communications to employees

    EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT/OFFICE ADMIN

    • Providing proactive & organized support to the Managing Directors and the senior executive team
    • Assisting with managing schedules, coordinating meetings/events & communication with internal and external stakeholders and a variety of other administrative tasks (eg expense claims) for the executive team
    • Planning & coordinating management team events including off-site strategy events
    • Coordinating & preparing materials for meetings

    • Booking travel & coordinating travel arrangements for the executive team
    • Travel system – key user – providing adhoc support to travelers on using the travel system etc

    Qualifications & Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor Degree in Marketing or Communication or Business Administration would be preferable
    • However other relevant qualifications, eg Diploma, Certificate in Marketing, Communications will also be considered combined with experience & other assessed capabilities
    • Minimum 2 years corporate working experience in a similar role in marketing & communications ​

    Field Service Technician - S3

    The Role:

    • Provides technical support in electrical and mechanical maintenance. Maintains and improves machines and equipment to increase or maintain a high level of reliability, availability, cost efficiency and performance and customer relations, and teamwork.
    • Repairs, maintains, inspects, and commissions the LS170, LS190, LS312 and Mercury equipment at customer site.
    • Reports, captures and documents results at end of every shift to Foreman, Control Room, and team.

    • Basic computer literacy

    • Full physical & medical certificate to work in mining environment

    Experience in:

    • Fault finding in hydraulic, electrical, drive train, and diesel offerings
