    Surveyor Manager, D4; KRL055/23GS

    The role:

    • To manage and control all Survey functions at the operation. Production accounting and the supply of management information. Maintenance of statutory plans and legal compliance.

    The duties will include but are not limited to:

    • Survey Service
    • Accountable for the operation’s survey activities
    • Ensure legal compliance, as per DMRE MHSA Act 29 of 1996, as well as Seriti standards and requirements
    • Ensure governance and systems are in place with regards to production accounting
    • Carries out responsibilities in terms of HSEC requirements
    • Contractor Management
    • Assist with the design of the mine plan
    • Volumetric reconciliations
    • Water and rehabilitation measuring with accounting provision
    • Update and maintenance of statutory plans
    • Validating master database and Database management
    • Compilation of DTM model
    • Validate "control plans"
    • People Management               
    • Ability to work with and report in a cross-functional team structure
    • Teamwork and collaboration skills for both internal and external stakeholders
    • Coaching and training of survey teams to build and maintain a competent and motivated workforce
    • Plan, organize, control and lead survey teams
    • Financial Management            
    • Prepare and plan for Departmental Budgets
    • Ensure adherence to Financial Policies and Procedures
    • HSE Management: Ensure compliance with MHSA and Seriti requirements with authority to stop and / or escalate any unsafe situation
    • Customers: Foster and maintain internal and external customer and stakeholder relations by means of facilitating solutions to resolve disputes

    You will need:

    • National Diploma in Mine Surveying / National Diploma in Minerals Surveying / BTech Minerals Survey (NQF Level 7)
    • Mine Surveyors Certificate of Competency (MSCoC) – Government Ticket
    • Professional member registration (SAGC – South African Geomatics Council and/or PLATO – Professional Land and Technical Survey Organisation)
    • Member of Institute of Mine Surveyors of Southern Africa
    • Minimum 4 years working experience in Senior Surveyor role on mining operations  
    • Broad knowledge of relevant Coal mining methods
    • Technical knowledge of relevant legislation
    • Technical knowledge of survey software with proven CAD computer skills and modelling
    • Computer literacy in MS Office & SAP
    • Database management principles
    • Knowledge and understanding of surveying principles
    • Valid driver’s license
    • In possession of or able to obtain a certificate of fitness

    Advantageous:

    • 2 years’ experience in a Managerial capacity

    Time & Attendance Administrator, C4, KRL014/23GS

    The role:

    • The role is responsible for ensuring the effective administration and application of the Time and Attendance systems, processes and procedures.

    The duties will include but are not limited to:

    • Ensure the effective administration and maintenance of data regarding the Time and Attendance System (Skycom)
    • Maintain the data on the Time and Attendance module on the HR Information management system (SAP/SAGE)
    • Attend to Skycom software and hardware issues
    • Provide first line support to all stakeholders
    • Ensure that all Time and Attendance standards and procedures are met
    • Present overtime and absence data to management
    • Investigate and correct data mismatches in Skycom, SAP and the QMED
    • Mentor, train, coach, communicate and explain information to all stakeholders

    Requirements:

    • National Diploma in Payroll or Human Resources (NQF Level 7)
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Time and Attendance  
    • Sound knowledge and experience in working with the relevant time and attendance system (Skycom) and HR Information System (SAP/SAGE)
    • Understanding of SAP and the interface between Skycom and SAP/SAGE  
    • Sound knowledge of applicable Seriti policies, procedures and standards
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation including Mine Health and Safety Act and the Labour Relations Act
    • Analytical skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills and communication skills
    • Computer literacy (MS Office, Skycom, SAP/SAGE), including report writing and presentation skills

    Warehouse Administrator, C1, MMS062/23GS

    The role:

    • To ensure effective receiving, issuing, binning and delivery of stock.

    The duties will include but are not limited to:

    • Physical receipt, validating against purchase order and inspection of goods received at the warehouse
    • Physical packs goods on delivery vehicles of dispatch and delivers to their delivery points
    • Working of shifts to facilitate after hours deliveries and issues
    • Review and process goods returned to stock as well as damage components to be sent for repairs
    • Maintains good housekeeping by ensuring the warehouse, yards and equipment are clean and neat
    • Complete daily manifest for every trip
    • Manage all repairable documentation to and from sites
    • Ensure pre-use checks are done daily on all delivery vehicles & equipment and all defects must be reported

    You will need:

    • Grade 12/N3 with Mathematics and Science/Accounting
    • A minimum of 2 - 3 years’ warehouse experience
    • SAP knowledge
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Valid Certificate of fitness or able to obtain

    Section Engineer OC, D4, NVC061/23GS

    The role:

    The role involves the management of Seriti Coal’s engineering assets, resources and infrastructure through the planning of long and short-term availability of machinery and equipment, and the organising and management of resources to achieve planned production targets:

    • Ensure that legal requirements, codes of practices, group standards, procedures and policies are updated, implemented, adhered to and that changes to legal requirements are communicated
    • Optimise planned maintenance in support of production targets through providing technical expertise to the mining
    • operation teams, co-ordinate planned maintenance and major overhauls / shutdowns and investigate, monitor and eliminate causes of breakdowns
    • Effective people management, ensuring that roles are well defined and clarified and that competencies and learning paths are developed to human capacity and capability
    • Effective project management of engineering projects and Asset Optimisation initiatives, ensuring best practice research, implementation and knowledge sharing
    • Financial budgeting & management
    • Effectively manage contractors and suppliers relationships, ensuring compliance to Seriti Coal standards

    You will need:

    • Degree or National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
    • Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) Mine and Works
    • Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
    • Completed a structured Engineering Internship program or min 5 years of experience as an Engineering Foreman / GES
    • Solid experience in managing OC production sections machinery
    • In depth understanding of relevant safety and mining legislation including: The Mine Health and Safety Act; Minerals and Energy Acts
    • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of technical engineering aspects such as OEM’s and SABS / SANS standards
    • A good knowledge of machinery and equipment used on the relevant operations
    • Flameproofing and gas testing knowledge
    • Understanding of engineering best practices and new technologies relating to relevant engineering principles & processes
    • Understanding of Environmental standards
    • Proven technical and maintenance management capability
    • Project management and report writing skills

    The role:

    Mining Activity Engineer OC; D1;PGS031/23GS

    The role:

    • The Mining Activity Engineer reports to the Mine Manger
    • Key performance areas will include, but will not be limited to:
    • Compiling designs, detailed plans, and short-term schedules for major mining activities on the mine
    • Compiling of weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual reconciliations as part of compliance to plan reporting

    • Minimum 6 years’ total experience in coal mining with:
    • 2 years’ experience as appointed foreman / supervisor in open cast mining OR
    • 2 years’ experience as Planning Officer in mine planning
    • Experience with Mine Planning software including, but not limited to, Deswik, XPAC, 3D-dig Microstation, Talpac, Dragsim
    • Knowledge of opencast mining activities and coal processing
    • An appreciation of legislation relating to the mining industry, as well as applicable procedures
    • Ability to work under pressure and variable workload
    • Be willing and able to work overtime and over weekends if and when the requirement arises
    • Good analytical capabilities
    • Good communication (verbal and written) skills
    • A high regard for safety with relevant safety management training (i.e: S2 ORMP certificate)
    • Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, Power-point, and Outlook)

    Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a Client Relationship Associate to help us expand our land securement portfolio and maintain strong relationships with our existing clients and landowners in the Renewable Energy sector. The Client Relationship Associate will work closely with the Development team on Business Development activities to identify new land for securement and establish contact with prospective landowners to secure property for project development. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in building relationships.

    Requirements:

    • Qualification: Diploma or Degree in a Management-related field.
    • 5+ years of proven experience in client relationship management or a sales related field.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and to be proactive.
    • Knowledge of land securement and development processes is an asset.
