    Recruitment Administrator Intern (Temporary)- SPARK Schools Support Office -2026

    Purpose of Role:

    • The Recruitment Administrator Intern supports the recruitment function by providing administrative and coordination assistance throughout the hiring process. The role ensures efficient scheduling of interviews, accurate documentation, and timely communication with candidates and hiring managers.
    • The Recruitment Administration Intern assists with maintaining recruitment records, updating the applicant tracking system, and organising recruitment documentation. This role contributes to a smooth and professional candidate experience while ensuring recruitment processes are executed in line with organisational standards. 

    Directly Reports to: Recruitment Lead

    Requirements
    Responsibilities:

    Shortlist and screening:

    • Determines applicant requirements by carefully studying the current job description
    • Thorough screening and shortlisting of CVs according to the requirements of the job description whilst ensuring ongoing feedback to candidates
    • Telephonic screening of applicants to ensure they meet the job requirements and SPARK cultural fit
    • Submission and coordination/marking of benchmark Subject Knowledge Tests
    • Coordination of review and assessment of Video upload/In-Person interviews:
    • Coordination of review and assessment of lesson demonstrations and Video/In-Person interviews with Line Managers and relevant panel members.

    Administration:

    • Ongoing communication of feedback to candidates including confirmation of unsuccessful applications.
    • Make recommendations to applicants and relevant Line Managers with regards to location, job role, start date and salary.
    • Keep record of all recruitment data as per company recruitment policy and procedures.
    • Conducting fingerprints and criminal clearances with shortlisted candidates
    • Follow procedure of informing Line Manager and Human Capital Department of new employee start date.
    • Coordinate background checks including but not limited to; qualification and police clearance.

    Internal recruitment facilitation:

    • Ensures the standards of internal recruitment are met in order to provide a fair and consistent process to identify suitable and high performing individuals.
    • Give constructive feedback regarding growth opportunities for candidates who do not meet the requirements for promotions and internal transfers.

    Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

    • Completed relevant Bachelor’s degree in a related field

    Experience:

    • At least 0 - 1 years' experience in general recruitment, selection and/or talent management.

    Primary School Maths Teacher (FP) - SPARK Rynfield - 2026

    Purpose of Role:

    • SPARK Schools Foundation Phase Maths teachers drive student achievement by maintaining high expectations for classroom culture, behaviour, and academic growth for all students.
    • SPARK Schools Maths teachers are Foundation Phase specialists, who receive on-going professional developmentcustomised for their past experience and individual needs.
    • The Foundation Phase Maths Teachers are integral to the SPARK Schools’ “culture” and our commitment to rigorous, engaging learning experiences for our scholars.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan for and be prepared to deliver lessons to students
    • Provide instruction in a variety of subjects and reach students with engaging lesson plans and resources.
    • Collaborate with grade level and content area partners to develop rigorous, engaging learning experiences and to create individualised behaviour and learning plans for all students in class face to face or online.
    • Lead weekly SEL (Social Emotional Learning) circles and implement SPARK Schools
    • Social Emotional Learning curriculum.
    • Use SPARK culture and implement behaviour management strategies.
    • Administer weekly and termly assessments to track student progress and analyse the data for student growth.
    • SPARK Educators should have a core focus on student achievement and should drive all scholars to meet the required proficiency ratings.
    • Submit student results data when required.
    • Attend pre-service professional development before the school year begins and attend weekly professional development and any other training interventions.
    • Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, parents and other stakeholders.
    • Conduct self in a professional manner at all SPARK Schools events and to all stakeholders.
    • Nurture a high achieving work environment where all students feel genuinely valued and supported.
    • Attend Saturday events and parent community meetings.
    • Implement strategies implemented by the Crisis Management team.
    • Adhere to the child protection, anti-bullying and health and safety policy.
    • Promote the vision and mission of SPARK Schools to staff, scholars, families, and the greater community

    Requirements
    Qualifications and Criteria:

    The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

    • B.Ed. degree or PGCE. Foundation Phase. Recently qualified teachers are encouraged to apply!
    • Certification through the South African Council of Educators (SACE).
    • SAQA accreditation for non-South African equivalent qualifications
    • English language fluency.
    • A clear criminal record
    • Experience:

    Facilities Maintenance Staff (Inside) - SPARK Carlswald - 2026

    Position Purpose:

    Requirements
    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain the upkeep of the school building, gardens, and grounds.
    • Report facilities maintenance issues to school leadership and assist with repairs where applicable.

    Primary School Scholar Supervisor Temporary - SPARK Alberton - 2026

    Position Purpose:

    • SPARK Schools supervisors drive student achievement by overseeing the culture and effectiveness of lunch, break, and aftercare. SPARK Schools supervisors care for classes of students during lunch, break, and aftercare to ensure student achievement, health, and safety.

    Requirements
    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise lunch and break during the instructional day.

    • Plan engaging enrichment experiences for students for the lengthened aftercare on Monday afternoons.

    • Communicate professionally with parents and line managers about incidents, conflicts, or concerns that occur during aftercare.
    • Communicate and collaborate with school leaders and staff as required.Ensure safety of all scholars during aftercare, including following network-wide procedures to scholar dismissal and late pick-up.
