WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Under the direction of the Category Quality Manager, you implement quality  systems
• Ensure adherence and maintenance of QMS administration
• Drive & track quality KPI’s
• Coordinate and host external audits
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance to all relevant legal, statutory and internal requirements/standards and validation thereof
• Implement, maintain and test site traceability systems
• Site custodian of all specifications and ensure adherence
• Implement, monitor & review HACCP studies
• Advise on and validate cleaning procedures
• Test incoming raw material and drive compliance to specification
• Oversee laboratory operations and adhere to safety standards
• Decide final disposition for non-conformance product ( Product non-conformance management)
• Coordinate and drive site MECP quality pillar
• Lead quality loss reduction project
• Champion quality culture building activities
• Participate in business unit and group community of practices
• Act as Custodian of quality gate keeping (TIP) process

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Academic 

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualifications in natural science/engineering
• TQM or Quality qualification advantageous (TPM/WCM/Lean)

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Manufacturing, 2 years experience in facilitating leadership teams, Experience in managing external audits  and Familiarity with project management approaches

• Responsible for the daily running of the production shift, to ensure compliance to Albany quality and standard operating procedures, to enforce the established safety system and to maintain 20 Keys and Shop floor development system

• Responsible for shift for daily on-time production
• Finalise daily production records
• Maintaining SOP’s and 20 Keys

• IR and coaching

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of production process and purpose of machines and ingredients
• At least 2 years experience in a Supervisory position
• Knowledge of 20 Keys, Food, Health & Safety and OIM will be an advantage
• Computer skills will be an advantage
• Prepared to work night shifts
• Prepared to work long hours, weekends and Public Holidays
