    Fashion File Administrator

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Ensuring that all merchandise samples are collected, processed and scanned in to the visual display department on a daily basis.
    • Manage the samples by ensuring that they are processed according to weeks in store, units available etc
    • Prepare the samples before multiple daily building sessions
    • Pack and clear the samples according to a process post the Fashion File builds
    • Manage a stock take on a yearly basis for all samples in the studio
    • Support and assist the Fashion File Coordinators in building window, wall and floor rail fashion statements using the merchandise samples
    • Take notes during multiple daily approval sessions and ensure that these are communicated effectively to the Fashion File Coordinators actioned
    • Prepare merchandise to be photographed and then photograph window, wall and floor rail fashion statements for Fashion File publication

    Qualifications and Experience    

    • Admin based certification or basic degree (Prefered)
    • Minimum Matric with 2 - 3 years of retail experience
    • OR 2 - 3 years admin experience in a similar role

    • Must be passionate about Fashion
    • Must be able to coordinate fashion look according to trends
    • Must be able to merchandise mannequins
    • Must have exceptional attention to detail
    • Must have good customer service skills
    • Must have a sense of urgency to complete tasks

    YDE Designer

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Your YDE Designer label and merchandise must be exclusively sold in YDE.
    • Upon acceptance into YDE, it is imperative that you, the Designer, have your label or brand name immediately registered as a trademark.

     Manufacturing of merchandise.

    • All clothing must be manufactured in South Africa. YDE does allow selected categories of clothing (i.e. denim, knitwear) to be imported, but prior approval from YDE on these imports is required. Footwear, jewellery, bags and accessories may be imported.

     Distribution to YDE stores.

    • All Designers' merchandise is supplied by the Designer to YDE on a consignment stock basis only and Designers are paid for their total sales by YDE, excluding costs, at the end of each trading calendar month.

    Financing

    • Designers would be required to have secured sufficient funding to start a range in YDE.
    • YDE is an Emporium of designers does not purchase any merchandise from Designers.

    Qualifications and Experience    

    • A relevant fashion related tertiary qualification
    • Previous experience in a similar background within a fashion retail environment

    Legal Advisor

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Drafting, reviewing and approving commercial agreements.
    • Providing legal advice, guidance, assistance and written legal opinions on various commercial legal matters.
    • Advice and assistance on effective new legislative enactments, amendments and matters affecting the Company.
    • Working knowledge of the National Credit Act (NCA), the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), the Financial Intelligence Centre Act ( FICA), Tax legislation and company and consumer legislation.
    • Facilitate dispute resolution and litigation process. Oversee the investigation of the facts and merits of various litigious matters, assessing the feasibility of proceeding with legal action. Consult with business representatives and attorneys where necessary. Follow through and monitor the progression of the legal action to its conclusion including Court actions.
    • Mergers and Acquisitions advice including due diligence investigations.
    • Management and advice regarding trademarks, copyright and design matters
    • Specific knowledge of and enforcement of restraint of trade.
    • Pro-actively fully understand and be able to communicate and advise on pending legal changes/Acts that will affect the Company.

    You will be responsible for regulatory and compliance matters.
    Qualifications and Experience    

    • 10+ years of relevant (post articles) experience
    • Proven track record of working on corporate commercial matters and negotiating commercial contracts
    • Knowledge and experience of contracts
    • Knowledge of NCA, CPA, POPIA, and FICA (knowledge of Tax Law may be beneficial)
    • IT competence in Microsoft Office software packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Power-point (essential)
    • Competencies    Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships on all levels
    • Ability to reason, research and apply concepts to facilitate decision-making within the business
    • High level of respect for confidentiality/discretion
    • Sound business acumen
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
